Default Sig p220 carry reverse duo tone California legal?

Hey I was wondering if I'd be able to purchase this Sig p220 carry duo tone. Buds has it, and on their page it says it is California compliant. When I went to go look on the roster I discovered no reverse duo tone carry, but they had reverse* duo tone mosquito. So I'm guessing it being reversed matters.

*I know it's legal to own. It just seems like everyone ask if a firearm is CA "legal"..

Thanks

You mean this one?

http://sigsauer.com/CatalogProductDe...-two-tone.aspx

If it is then no, it's not CA comliant, but you can make it "legal" by doing a single shot exemption for it.

Can't believe I forgot to put the link. Posted on my phone last night. My son was bonking me in the head with a pillow

*Sent an email to Buds they said it was a typo.
They removed the CA compliant, and even the specs that were posted. I'm guessing they copied the specs from Sigs site of a p220 carry on roster.

What's strange is that the P220 compact carry reverse two tone is not on the Sig website.

Wish people would quit using that term "California legal." Just because a handgun is not rostered doesn't mean it's illegal.

Looks legal
http://www.slickguns.com/product/sig...ds-773-shipped

CA Roster lists Sig two-tone carry as legal as well (its not specific enough on model number or how its two tone)

I actually just got off the phone with SIG again about that exact handgun. They are showing my serial # as not CA compliant... Which is annoying because I'm trying to send it to them for a warranty repair. So the guy helping me is emailing around making sure- I'm told that I could send it to them for repair but if it's off the list they can't give it back. Ugh.

I have not tried this myself, but others have said if you have an FFL send a non-rostered Sig repair, they will send it back to the FFL (who can then give it back to you).

Well done, I'm told this is the best way to return our "non-rostered" Sigs for warranty work and to assure that it gets sent back to us.

Oh, and to the OP ... I don't know if that dual tone is okay or not. But, if it's not on the DOJ roster ... I'm inclined to believe it's not gonna work in your favor. I tried purchasing a P225 last year that the dealer had in stock, but had dropped of the roster days before. Once the dealer had tried to enter in the model number the computer wasn't having any of it and I ended up on the wrong end of the deal.

Whoops, I just noticed in post #3 you said that Bud's said it was a typo ... sorry!

How much did this cost you? Apparently all Sig handguns must be sent back this way biw for any work to be done due to Sig going full retard.

The only 220 two tones I ever see are for sale to LE only. In fact, Oaktree has three of them in stock and all three LE only. As far as I know, they are not on roster and haven't been for some time.

It was like 40 or 50. Same quote price sig gave me before the serial # threw a wrench in the works. All you need to send one back is a service order # and they send you a shipping form to print or something.

Well- I figure if worse comes to worst and I can't get it back for some reason- I can raise hell to budsgunshop.com for sending me an off roster firearm maybe. But- the guy at the shop is a sig armorer and knows the drill so I trust him to get it back for me. He spouted off about the laws and such regarding that and I'm confident it will come back.
