Default Jack Ross + free shipping

I just placed an order for 1000 rounds of .40 for $200 even. Pre-order special I suppose, claims to be shipped mid-April. Worth the wait, though I prefer 165 over 180g, can't complain at .20 per round.

Not to burst your bubble but they've been at that price for a while. Here's another thread all about Jack Ross Ammo. (I also got a order of 1K .40, can't wait)

http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=514999

You can also find a direct link to them as they advertise on the top banner.

Very good Ammo...Great Price.

I would not plan on shooting any of it by Tax day however, they have been VERY behind in shipping for months. Not a slam, just a heads up-

If you order be prepared to wait for your shipment and you are good to go.

Still waiting (im)-patiently on my order from Feb 3rd... exactly two months ago today. I'd be very surprised if they manage to get your order out by "mid-April"... Sounds like the elusive

Yup, don't believe their web site as to likely shipping dates. I ordered 5 weeks ago. Posts from those who have received their orders looks like over a 2 month backlog (unless there was a big order drop off in early March when slow order fulfillment was widely posted).

Fwiw - it is posted from Jack Ross ammo that if you are in immediate need of ammo be prepared for the delay. I stocked up on ammo knowing it's going to take awhile. The posts so far from those who have shot it looks promising.

I order 2/17 and recieved an email today stating it would be out in 2 to 3 weeks. So at the very least a 2 month wait.

Same problem. They take on business they can't supply and then they disconnects their phone line to avoid the stress of disgruntle buyers. Two weeks later after the order, they send a mass email about their over orders and give option for canceling. Cancelling the order took another two weeks to receive my money back.

For that reason, I avoid their business even if their ammo is decent and cheap.

Ah, I should probably skim the forums for related posts a little harder. I didn't feel the need to post a link because I assumed most were familiar with jackrossammo.com and their site is pretty straight forward -- Will do in the future.
At $60 less than Freedom Munition's current prices and $100+ less than any other .40 case I don't mind the wait; I'll probably forget about it and in a couple months there will be a nice little surprise on my(our) doorstep.

I just wish they would call it as it is. Why are they saying shipping will be by the end of April? Thats just bad business! Theres no way they are going to ship in that time frame and they know it. Why not just be honest?
To tell the truth I have a TON of ammo so I dont need the stuff right now. But I would like for a vender to be honest with me. I mean they charged my card when I ordered. The least they can do is give me a REAL estimate.

+1

I see they added the notice that they charge on order not shipment. All they need to do is add one line to their home page that says .... Now shipping orders from the week of ##/##/2012. Sure would save a lot of headaches all the way around.

I have used Jack Ross Ammo at a local range. It is good stuff. At the current price point it might be worth the wait IMHO.

fellow cal gunners!!! lets just not give jack ross any more business. they got like 10 pages of mad rants and very unhappy people who gave them money for broken promise after broken promise. then they got bad rounds doing damage to guns due to new equipment we bought him. they say they gota work out the problems but on our dime of course. **** if given enuff time and money i could start up my own ammo comp. i figured it was at least 10,000$ he had in orders that they wouldnt respond too. thanks jack off...oops ross

Few days short of 2 MONTHS and only 1 form letter email saying they were doing their best.

Could have bought from Bulletman for $10 more.... and got it locally....

I believe they are not shady, but just have no idea how to turn down business that they cannot handle in a reasonable time.

A freaking phone call would have appeased me enough to accept this kind of delay....

So, if I'm understanding correctly...

I (or anyone) could be Jack Ross - accept orders and collect money for 4-6 weeks - then place an order for shytloads of reloads (from whomever) and have a bunch of boxes printed with my name on them - then ship out all the orders (a couple months after payments were made)???...

Damn, why didnt I think of that?!

Has anyone ordered & received any .45 Auto ammo from them? I ordered 500 .45 reloads from them on 2-9 & 1000 .45 new on 3-12. I've haven't gotten any of this. Although I also ordered & already received 500 9mm reloads & 500 9mm new from them. I did an e-mail search to check my order date, shipping date on the 9mm to see if they'd e-mailed me any info but apparently the only e-mail they've ever sent me was one for one of my remaining two orders. But I'm thinking I ordered in late Jan or early Feb & received mid March. When I go to my Jack Ross account it only lists my outstanding two .45 orders not anything for 9mm... Bill

I registered today and asked about plans on offering 5.56/.223. I was answered shortly after. On Easter! So far positive impression.
Wanted to order 9mm 1000 rounds but their website is down.
4/8 7PM

EDIT: Site just came back up and I was able to place the order. 7:05PM

Don't hold your breath on the .45 reloads. I called last week because I received the 9mm and .40 reloads from my 2/3 order but not the .45 reloads. Was told that it might take quite a bit longer before they get to reloading .45 and was offered the value of what I paid for .45 reloads in either new .45 or more 9mm reloads. I opted for more 9mm reloads since I already have enough new .45 from JR.

I would call them and ask to change your order for reloaded .45 to new .45 if you want to see anything soon...
