Just curious what happens to the $$$ if they don't reach their goal in time? If it gets to 50k I'll give $100.

From the kickstarter page:

How does Kickstarter work?

Thousands of creative projects are funding on Kickstarter at any given moment. Each project is independently created and crafted by the person behind it. The filmmakers, musicians, artists, and designers you see on Kickstarter have complete control and responsibility over their projects. They spend weeks building their project pages, shooting their videos, and brainstorming what rewards to offer backers. When they're ready, creators launch their project and share it with their community.

Every project creator sets their project's funding goal and deadline. If people like the project, they can pledge money to make it happen. If the project succeeds in reaching its funding goal, all backers' credit cards are charged when time expires. If the project falls short, no one is charged. Funding on Kickstarter is all-or-nothing.

Don't we have a backup plan with Indiegogo JUST IN CASE this doesn't work out?

IMO we need to get this done NOW! If we start over you're gonna loose initial contributors and think about the time frame, too close to the holidays, people will have funds tied up in traveling and gifts etc.

I tripled my original pledge, and let a few friends know about this.

If this doesn't fund, and they start a new one, I will keep my current pledge available.

What a great day yesterday! 160 new backers and 25 pledge adjustments for $10,380 - the largest one day increase to date. *The team is overwhelmed by the support we are receiving. *Thank you.

Please continue to " Double and Match". Double your pledge if you can and get your friends to match your pledge. *With your help we can reach our goal and fund this important film.

Kris

This is really over my budget, but I upgraded my contribution level (again). I just can't let this opportunity to slip away. For a long time we were on defensive. We were reacting to what somebody else had done. This is our opportunity to strike back on OUT TERMS!

You need to give us a model of how you contacted them and exactly what you said. Everyone who can should use your method to contact anywhere we could get exposure.

I'm thinking townhall.com w/ Prager, Medved, Hewitt etc.
(actually I did send an email to Medved earlier in the campaign trying to get their attention)

Whatever you said, it made Tom Gresham stand up and listen.

I've always been one of those "looky loos" that keeps following but doesn't do cr*p about it.
Guess what, just decided that I'll go cheap on lunch today (Costco hotdog $1.50) and pledge $10 for the cause. It was really easy to do it. The site takes you to your amazon account and you donate through there.
I challenge all of the other "side liners" and "looky loos" to do the same.
C'mon guys, for the price of 1 gallon of gas and a cigarette pack you can help the cause.

That's freakin' awesome PDQ!

I went to his website and emailed him (from my work email) and this is what I said

Quote:
Tom, you always say “a lie unchallenged becomes the truth” well some people are trying to raise some $$$ and they need help. You have one of the biggest followings so I thought I would ask for your help.

There is a guy doing a film called Assaulted and trying to get $$ through kickstarter there are 46 hours to go and it’s about 20K short. Please check out http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/assaulted/assaulted

This is also on Calguns.net http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=616680

It would be nice to see this get off the ground. But time is running out. I know you have talked to Gene Hoffman and he is supporting it.

Why do police get to carry larger capacity magazines? Are their lives more important than those of regular citizens?" -Bugei
