Introducing the Dark-15 my first 80% build
Just finished this build and took it to the range a few days ago and ran 60 flawless rounds through it.
It's chambered in 7.62x39. I used ASC 7.62x39 10 round mag that fed perfect. I even used my magpul standard 5.56 mags because I like the look better than the ASC mags and it would feed 6-8 rounds, so I kept it to 5 rounds and it fed perfect everytime. Not 1 Fail to feed or fail to fire. Lets just say the boom was turning heads all the way down the firing line. It was louder than the 16" .308 AR-10's down the line. The first shot out the pipe was kinda scary, but immediately put a smile on my face and made me giggle like a little girl. Feel free to ask questions or tell me how I did or what I could improve. Without further ado the PrOn: |

Nicely done! If loud is a problem, a flash hider instead of the brake will quiet it a little - but not much. Even a 5.56 pistol is loud... but fun!

Thanks for the reply. It does look white with the flash. I have an 80% lower that is already anodized also and was hesitant to add some engraving not knowing how it would look bare metal but yours looks fine to me so thanks for sharing the close up pic from your build. |

There was one long allen wrench for the grip screw 3/16 I think but don't quote me. An armorers wrench for the buffer tube nut, and something to help you forcefully tap the pins in place once all your springs are in place for the trigger assembly. That last part goes alot smoother with 2 people. Then depending on your lower mine uses one small allen wrench for the bolt hold open latch, but some just hammer a pin in.
