The original statement was that rifles were more deadly them handguns because of the higher muzzle velocity.

The Liberal media and the Anti's (lacking any knowledge) twisted that into " AR's are the most deadly killing machine..." because it fit their agenda.

Thus Liberal Media and the Anti's turned the AR into the weapon of choice for psychopaths.

The difference between AR type weapons and traditional rifles are actually negligible (except perhaps weight)

Media hype creates mass shooters and tells them what to wear, what to say and what gun to use.

IIRC if the gases of the cartridge have a longer time to expand in a longer barrell, expect the round to have a higher velocity than a shorter barrel. If both barrels are the same length, I would expect the same velocity. I don't thing there is much velocity/gas lost when the round passes the gas tube port in the AR-15.

Anyway, that's what I think. Chai Latte

As we're drifting, seems to have run its course.
