BTW when LAN world says it includes the Bullet-Button Chris means installed.

This price includes the Bullet-Button, and his labor to install it.

Sorry to step on your thread Chris.

Anyone wanting the Bullet-Button alone contact Chris. I'm assuming that his price will be right at $20 for it.

Thanks,

Darin

Yes, but it becomes pretty sexy once you swap out the stock for an ATI one:

Chris at Lan World is very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Thank you, Darin, for brokering this deal and for sharing the BB design with us.

Is Lan World a Internet/Mail order only biz or do you have a B&M I could go to? If you do have a B&M where are you located?

Also I just bought a toy and I have to wait it out a few months so is this something you will continue to stock for awhile or is it a one time deal?

Thanks

I was wondering the same thing but also did not want to hijack the thread.

I was also wondering if it would be possible to work out a deal w/ the ATI stock already converted w/ the BB. I think people would be willing to pay the added cost of the ATI plus a reasonable fee for the labor, I know I would.

Anyway sorry again. This is a great deal and I appreciate the opportunity to be able to purchase this firearm. Thanks to LAN World and Prince50.

You know....for as ugly as that thing is....for the price, I may have to consider one...(or two)....

I agree though about offering the aftermarket stock installed as an option....I bet it would help sales significantly....

Would you please post some pics of how the mag lock will operate?

Thanks in advance....

Is there any way that you can start bringing in the Hipoint pistols.

Could you convert it to a single shot pistol?

You guys seem to be the masters at modifying firearms. I'm sure that plenty of us would buy the hipoint 45s.

the 45's and 40's are not on the approved list only the 9's and 380's. They are Fugly but for the price I wouldn't mind one.

That is the point of modifying them. From how I see it, it could be easily done.

1. Attach a cheap barrel extension to bring it up to 6 inches. Maybe spotweld a piece of plumbing pipe.
2. Alter the magazine to not hold any rounds, remove spring and fill with putty.
3. Attach a nut and bolt holding the magazine in place so that it cannot be removed.

As I see it, all of these mods would cost less than $5 and would take under 5 minutes if done in batches.

I would purchase a couple of them. We could modify them to however we wanted once inside Ca.

what I was trying to say is you wont be able to get the frame into CA since its not on the approved list. Unless for a few exeptions ie. if your an LEO then you could just buy the gun in its original form.

LECTRIKHED is right, by being converted to a single-shot pistol they are exempt from requirement of being on The List.

There are several available exemptions from The List requirements: Curio or Relic status, single-shot pistols within a certain size range, single-action revolvers, and of course the biggie being LEO purchases.

Hmm..

Did you make sure to specifically explain to him that it comes with a bullet button installed? It seems weird that he wouldn't at least hear you out. Rob's a pretty reasonable guy.

After all, he accepted my OLL and the only thing I had the manufacturer do was detach the pistol grip. I even paid one of Rob's friends $20 to install the bullet button for me.

Well..either way I would totally jump on this deal. I'm waiting for them to release their .45 ACP version first though.

Does anyone else know any other dealers that will accept this carbine in the Fresno area?

Well, I, for one, am interested.

Does anyone know an FFL which would receive these around L.A. area?

I've wanted these for a while, but they're evil in California. With the BB, well, that's a whole other story.

Aren't the Hi-Point carbines not allowed in CA either? I tried to get one shipped to CA last year, no luck. I'm guessing the BB is reason you can get them now?

P.S. I have the .380. It's heavy, blocky, a pain in the @zz to field strip, and for the $120 I paid for it, fun as heck to shoot and a lot more accurate than some people suggest...

YMMV

I have a 9mm Hi-point. It jammed 4-5 times in the first 200 rounds I put through it. The magazine fell out after the first shot a couple of times during those first 200 rounds, too, when I loaded 8 rounds and not 7 (it's an 8-round mag). After that, no problems whatsoever. My girlfriend likes it, for it has very little recoil. I just wish they had a better trigger. Anyone knows of any tweaks one can do on a Hi-Point trigger to make it somewhat smooth?

Way late. I would be up for one if they did another run. Anybody know which magazines the Hi-point takes?
