Default Got my 1st kill

Didn't take a pic but went out for my 1st hunt today and tools cotton tail with my 12 gauge from probably about 15 yds away. I got a clean shot on him with nothing but the head and neck getting hit. Gutted it on the spot which I was surprised to find was quite simple. I was also surprised to find out how little meat was on it. Unfortunately I also picked up my 1st tick but realized what it was before I tried to flick it off. Got it out intact and still alive so I should be ok.

One question though, while cleaning out the guts some of the poop leaked into the stomach cavity but I had water with me so I washed it out. I didn't contaminate the meat did I?
