Default You Know You Have a Problem When......

You're looking at a piece of .45 brass you have reloaded 15 times and trimmed 4 times that now has a split neck and think, "what caliber bullet jacket can I swage this into"?????

When you get to the firing line and see brass on the floor that is more nice and shiney than your brass. You fire off your rounds so quickly and pick that brass up before your last round has hit the floor!!

Also, when you get home from the range your fingers are tender, sore and burnt because you picked up hot brass before another calgunner beats you to it!!

When you read all these posts, nodding, uh huh

When you see guys picking up somebody else's brass & can't resist yelling at them
" Brass Whore"

When you have 2-650's & 2 Rockchuckers, sell a Rockchucker & then regret it...

...when an empty hits the ground and you know the caliber without even looking.

...you have a 5 gal bucket full of .22 brass for scrap to buy more brass.

...you know with X charge in Y gun, exactly which direction the brass will fly.

...your Tupperware for reloading components are nicer than the ones in the kitchen.

...you avoid gun ranges that don't allow you to pick up your OWN brass.

...the "grumpy" guy at Angeles Reloading store is happy to see you.

Your first centerfire handgun is a revolver and not an auto due to possibly losing some brass!

You spend more time at the range picking up brass than you do actually shooting.

I am guilty of probably 90% of what all the Calgunners have admitted, however, I have finally reached a place in my hobby of assembling and dis assembling ammo where I am starting to actually have balance.

I still find the occasional empty pieces of brass in my board shorts while surfing a nice shoulder to overhead right at San-O... or go flying out of my keikogi while doing a breakfall at the dojo... or the accidentally fall into the offering plate on sunday. Just kidding...

Your day at the range gets canceled at the last minute and somewhere in your mind you think "cool I get some more time at the loading bench."

When a hot ejected case goes down your shirt and you think I don't have to bend over to pick that one up.

When you save those mesh plastic nets fruits and onions come in, to re-purpose as brass bags; throw in the brass, tie and toss into the tumbler.

When you finally get to shoot that old 8mm Danish rolling block after waiting a year for the brass from Australia, and one that you just ejected starts rolling off the table- you react quickly to make sure you don't loose it on the floor. You close your legs together to catch it, forgetting it's summer, and you are wearing shorts, and the brass is very hot... And now when you put your legs together you can see in the scars the shape of the brass, half on each thigh...

When you have an old fridge in the garage, the freezer side has primers, the fridge side has powder.

You purposely make friends with someone you don't even really like because the don't keep their brass.

by the age of 5 your kids can reliably inspect your cartridges for bulges and inverted primers as they load them into your ammo boxes
