Default 24 mechanical pencils $3.15 Amazon

Probably will only last 15 minutes like most such flash deals on amazon. Can ship all by itself alone if you want.

It almost wants me to go back to school.

I miss saying the Pledge of Allegiance, my brown bag lunches, my one mile walk to school, etc.

You mean your 1 mile, both uphill, in the snow without shoes, walk to school?

My kids go through these things like candy. Thanks OP. The only problem is it looks to be an add-on item now, so I ended up just spending $40 to get them shipped. LOL.

I rode my bicycle to school. Do kids still ride bikes to school?

Thanks for the heads up!

I didn’t buy any of the .05 as they were an add on item but I did find the .07 ones for $8.00 shipped in a 48 pack.

Good deal.

Thanks OP. I went with the .07 48 pk for $8. My daughter needs the heavier lead.

They ride bikes, scooters, and skateboards. We have special racks so kids can lock up their skateboards. Bike racks are the same as when we were kids, but quick release seats and wheels get taken and hidden. There is one kid who rides her scooter to school, but her dads takes it home for her.

I don't encourage the use of mechanical pencils. Too many kids wasting time playing with the pencils and the lead.

FYI, one trick to get around the add-on item limit is to add something that is on pre-order.

select to receive in stock items first during checkout.

since amazon doesn't charge for items not shipped, you get charged for the add-on item only. then once you receive it, cancel the pre-order item.

and bam, you just beat amazon at their game.

best items for pre-orders will be video games. since pre-orders for them usually go up a few months before they release, you don't have to worry about the item being released before you get your add-on item.

you can risk using movies for pre-orders, but you have to "buy" more than 1 movie to reach the $35 free shipping limit, while with video games, they are usually $59.99 so you just have to add one game.

compared to using pencils were kids would have to keep asking for the sharpener during class? lead pencils imo are superior to pencils due to the ability to choose your "lead" size. i hated pencils due to the fact that i felt m writing was ugly/messy due to the thick "lead". while using my .5 mechanical pencils i felt my writing was neater due to the finer lines. and now with pens i moved to .35 size and my lines are even finer.

I always put my teeth marks in the yellow wooden ones. I guess I'd have to bite a bit harder using these.

I think someone at the seller's store goofed on the price. I ordered two, got a tracking number, then all of a sudden "Problem with your shipping address. Refund started". lol
