Oroville Clay Pits Sat Feb 9?

Greets, Butte, Sutter, and Glenn County CalGunners--

I have made repairs to my camo target rifle and am champin' at the bit to shoot it again.

I'm thinking about 8:30 am on Sat., Feb. 9, at the Clay Pits in Oroville by the airport.

Anyone interested?

fuuuuuuuuuuu too early. But yeah on a sat. I can understand why. I have no rifles... Anyone wanna help me put together my AR15 lower? Then I will have one

Bring some .22 ammo and you can shoot my ancient Marlin.

It's likely at least I will be there 'till noon. I'll have some sodas. If someone brings a grill, I also have some condiments, buns, and such.

Id bring my dads mini 14 but no way can I shoot any of his ammo. haha.

I have a Formeman grill. Let me see if my buddy is down to come too (wish he still had his rifle) and have ourselves a party. Kind of. ha.

I have some reloads I have been working on that I need to get out to test. I haven't met anyone in this thread before... Is this an open invite for some meet&greet shootin? I would like to join ya all if its OK.

I might be able to help you with the lower. I recently put one together...and no extra parts!...

lowers are easy to put together just look up one of the you tube videos on it.
I use this one when i need to look at / confirm any thing its short simple and to the point

If your still worried, i can help ya out i live in chico though. Id say id do it for ya on the 9th out there but ill be on my way back from southern CA on that day so cant make it.

ill try to make it. hey CD you should put a CG sign in the window of your car so people will know its you. dutch doesnt need a sign as long as he drives his famous car with the flames. i can see him coming from 3/4s of a mile away.

My car has a peace sign on one side and a Deer Creek Archery sticker on the other side. I'm a bit schitzo...

I'm bringing my camo target rifle, but no one can see it, so don't look--it's camo... ;-)

I can bring several small CalGuns stickers. I would guess they are about 2.5" in diameter.

I will bring a stove (not a grill) for coffee. I'll probably be there early as I am usually up by 0430. The ol' ball and chain said she MIGHT make some cinnamon rolls...but don't hold me to it as she does what she wants...or not.

I'll be driving either the flaming lemon or the rust-colored 1971 GMC farmer truck. Too early to call.

I need to make a new target stand. Somebody shot the last one to pieces.

I don't have one, but everyone I know that does has blown at least one of them away. Hopefully, someone experienced in the setup can help you out.

I got one
got around to testing
did not read instructions too well
I shot it very cloce with a 22 & a 1400 fps pellet gun
pellets were only going 1200, THEY LIE !

Noah: one thing. You'll need to scare up a tall camera tripod. There's a threaded hole on the bottom of my Chorny where I can screw it onto a tripod.

If you can't find one, post by Friday and I'll see if we can scare one up.

It would help if it had adjustable height.
