Use Counterstrike firearms, he is a calgunner in Hemet and regularly helps clean up Bee canyon with his family.

If he is in, I am in for 2 lowers. (With the CGF logos)

Quick Update.

We have received a copy of the CGF logo, and it is going to need to be worked on a little.

Once we work on the logo, and finalize it, we will post a picture of the logo in this thread.

Thanks,
AT

Is an individual FFL acceptable for transfer in NorCal?

As long as the individual is a current 01 (Retail Dealer FFL License) or 07 FFL (Manufacturer / Dealer FFL License), and we verify their FFL information, then yes that will be fine.

Just talked with Greg from Counterstrike Firearms. He is in the Hemet/Perris area.
He will put together a special deal for Calgunners. Very good rate on group buy lowers.

************************ UPDATE ****************************
************************************************** **********
************************************************** **********

Just had a long discussion with Addax and everything is moving right along.

CGF has granted us permission to use the awesome Calguns Foundation logo.
We also hope to have some cool CGF serial numbers for this too but those details are pending.

In addition, Addax has been extremely diligent in working to secure some high quality forgings for this buy. I personally want to thank them for their work on helping pull this effort together. The election year has put a strain on most manufaturers as demand has skyrocketed and they have been great with helping pull this group buy/fundraiser together.

So what does that all mean?

Within about 2-3 weeks from now we hope to have the forgings secured and have a moch up of the actual lower that will be used with the buy. Addax has their graphic designers working with CGF to make sure the logo looks sexy on these lowers.

Once we have finalized all of the details, everyone that I have received a PM from will receive all of the details as well as a mach up of the final design for the group buy.
We'll include all the info you need for payment, FFL transfers (if not picking up at Addax), shipping costs, etc.
At that point the actual group buy will begin and instructions/deadlines will be provided on the next steps to confirm your participation.

The list of interested parties is maintained in a post on the first page of this thread. If you have PM'd me already, make sure you're on that list. If you're not on the list, PM me to get added.

Is it possible to request serial #s?
If so, I'd be in for 4 with the following SN: 0517, 0326, 0709, 0729.

Sorry to be a a stickler on this but we've posted to PM a few times including the initial post from Addex.
With almost 70 people already interested, PMs will allow me to sure communication is handled properly and no one is overlooked.
They are easier to track and will allow a mass 'reply' when we have all the details for the buy finalized.

++1 to this, Greg @ Counterstrike is super reliable and is actually the one that pointed me to the group buy.

Any friendly FFLs in Fresno that won't break the bank? Whats the average rate to accept a transfer? Will the price quoted by addax include shipping?

Shipping details will be provided and will be actual shipping costs so it will vary by location.

Not too sure about FFLs near Fresno. I'm compiling a list (so far only 2) of FFLs around the state willing to help out but I am not reaching out to any. If any members know of FFLs that will participate in your area just let me know (after confirming with the FFL first).

EDIT: I'm keeping the list of FFLs willing to help out with discounted transfer fees. They are included in the same post as the interested member list. So far we have FFLs that will help out in both Napa and Hemmit.

We're up to 77 interested members with many interested in multiple lowers!

If everyone that is on the list goes through with the buy, we are looking at a serious donation to CGF!

I'm in Fresno... I don't know what PRK charges for this particular type of transfer, but I'll be going to PRK. I haven't done this type of transfer yet, but I recently completed a private party sale there. It was my first and I have no reason to go anywhere else yet. I'm the type to pick one good store and I stick with it.

I'm hoping some FFL in the San Jose area will help out us South Bay folks?

BTW - I promise to buy something else while I'm in the store. Remember guys -- the FFL's are not going to make much or maybe take a loss on just doing the transfer, so let's show some appreciation.

Leland at Tunn Tavern Arms in Manteca received my Palmetto lower shipment and he only charged me $65 out the door with DROS. He said he would do the same for Cal Guns folks on this group buy. His email: teachu2shoot45@yahoo.com. His phone: 209-824-9547. Nice guy too.
