Default The new Beretta 3901

I am in love. This gun fits me like a glove and I LOVE it. The only problem I am having.........staying away from the trap club. Going broke. What a sweet little shotgun. I am so glad I waited and got what I wanted.

Took my shotgun up to a gunsmith in Grass Vally he adjusted the comb and now it feels like mine.

OOOH! I want pictures! Riley took his new Mossberg 510 20g to the indoor range today and if suits him so much better than the Mossberg 500m 12g we had had bought for him and for home defense. He is much better with the 20g.

I am interested in what Riley thought of his Mossberg. My husbands Winchester jammed up royal today. We will probably be looking for a new shotgun for him soon. I don't think he will stick with his shotgun to long.

Mine was the only youth/ ladies adjustable shotgun we could find in 12 gauge.

If it fits you it doesn't matter how short the stock is! Trap is too much fun, eh? Have you tried any Skeet yet?

Riley really likes his Mossberg. He's going out to Yolo with his 4-H group today to do some trap. He definitely needs to work on his form and he will be doing that today with his project leader but he really likes it.

I have not tried skeet yet. The club in Lincoln has trap, skeet, sporting clays, Olympic trap and bunker trap. I guess I have some fun things to try.

I have to be honest, I know nothing about trap, skeet, clays or what have you. This is our first year with trap with 4-H and we will be out around 10am. I'll let everyone know how it goes!

LOL I am actually staying home due to a migraine that appeared out of nowhere so Bill has taken Riley to the range but I expect a complete report from Bill who has taken his shotgun too. And Bill thought this would be a cheap way for family to spend time together.... LOL

Zombie. For us short armed people I couldn't recommend this Beretta any higher. But if you want one, ya better jump on it. The guy that I got mine from bought the last of Beretta's stock. They aren't making them anymore. My gunsmith said they will o ly g up in price. If you want the name of his shop in Kansas, I will send it to you. He ships FAST.

Riley had a BLAST pardon the pun. LOL He didn't hit not a one but he loved it. He and Bill both did some shooting and they are already planning the next trip. His 4-H group leader had some missed communication so he and Bill ended up there two hours early so they ended up just shooting by themselves but Riley is all set for some more. This was his first experience at an outdoor range so that was new to him too. It's unfortunate that it is almost an hour to the range or they would be doing that weekly(maybe it's a good thing then... LOL) Riley shot about 20 and Bill finished the rest(I think they had 25?) We are hoping to make it next weekend so that I can try too.

Migraine is somewhat better after some meds and rest. I wonder how much trouble I am going to have with chatty Riley tomorrow for classes? LOL It's "Mom, THIS was SO MUCH BETTER THAN JUST TARGET SHOOTING!"

And Bonnie, now he understands the pockets on the vest! LOL Thanks girl!

Bonnie and I did some shooting at Coon Creek today. We had a good time and learned a lot from a member out there who was all about helping a couple of new trap shooters. I put 100 rounds through my gun and five round through Bonnie's. Hehehe.......don't ask. Ok, I will out myself. I picked up her gun, walked up to the line and put five rounds through it before the peanut gallery informed me I had the wrong shotgun. Whoops. I did a pretty fine job with it! Red faced, I picked up my gun and finished my turn.

The shooter at Coon Creek really gave me some great help. He improved my hits dramatically. Fun place to shoot with a bunch of nice people out there.

Yes, indeedy, Savannah and I had a good day! A little lunch first, I just shoot better on a full tummy. Then off to Coon Creek in Lincoln. Really nice place, with voice activated trap. Be sure not to sneeze! And I'm not saying boo about Savannah's adventure with my shotgun because I couldn't get the dang thing put together right when we first arrived!

They also have skeet, action clays which I'm dying to try, and international bunker, which is really challenging. At this point, after not touching my shotgun for two months, I was glad to hit any targets at all, but did. Gotta practice more. My handguns have been eating up my time and ammo budget.

Savannah and I will be doing it again soon. Any other NorCal girls want to join in? Yolo Sportsmen's club is also an option. Bugs, get well and come out and play! Davis isn't that far!

We really had the best time... but now I need a nap!

Beautiful shotgun.

I shoot trap/skeet with a Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag. I bought it about 15 years ago and love it.

If you are ever in the bay area, I highly recommend Los Altos Rod and Gun Club for trap. They have a 'self serve' trap area on a bluff. See my avatar for a shot of me shooting trap. Beautiful view.

That looks like a great place to shoot some trap. Good enough for a road trip. Thanks for sharing!
