Default 100

100 rounds of 10MM. 3rd time for this batch. Had a few that had some burr's on the case-rim caused by the Extractor on my GLOCK 29. Removed them.

I can see that the case rim extractor interface is going to be a larger issue than case/resizing fatigue caused by shooting max loads (which these test rounds are).

One thing I noticed when running a normal Glock barrel and the StormLake barrel; the GLOCK barrel (being loose) really makes the 10MM cases bulge
almost full length. To the extent that a once fired GLOCK barrel case won't begin to fit into a STORMLAKE barrel. A once fired case from the STORMLAKE barrel bulges SO LITTLE that it even fits into the Dillon Case Gauge. !

That Stormlake barrel is TIGHT..!!!!

When I tumble this group (of 100) I can really tell which ones I shot in the GLOCK barrel as opposed to the STORMLAKE rounds.....the GLOCK cases require a bunch more pressure to resize.

I can see why for serious self defense shooting GLOCK barrels will feed just about anything.

Bob

100 rounds of .223 w/ Hornady 68 grain BTHP bullets and 23.5 grains Varget. My brother-in-law just got a new upper and doesn't reload himself, don't know if we'll ever work up a load but the results with these will still be better than with cheap factory ammo. I prepped and primed the brass a while ago, so it was only an hour or so putting them all together.

50 rounds of 44mag to celebrate my most recent firearm purchase...a 7.5" Ruger Redhawk. Too bad I can't fire them until next Thursday, due to the waiting period...and the fact that I won't be in town on the pick-up date (Duck Hunting at Sacrament NWR).

Actually loaded yesterday but I didn't post then. 200 rounds of 45 for my Kriss Super V. R-P cases, Remington LP primers, 230 gr Zero Bullets hard ball on top of 5 gr HP-38. Shot okay, not really happy with the HP-38 compared to my last loads of Power Pistol. Both leave the cases pretty dirty but PP seems to run better.

I loaded fifty .41 Magnum cartridges, and lubed 230 .38 Special cast bullets (wadcutters) that I'll probably load Tuesday night after I get back from the shooting range.

Just finished loading 100 .38 Special wadcutters. (148 grain Lee bullet, 3.0 grains American Select, RP brass, Rem 1.5 primer)

I have another 100 Winchester cases ready to go, but not sure if I'll load the same thing or try a different powder charge. Probably keep going with this load until I run out of AS powder.

Only 50 rounds of 44 special. Berry's 240 gr with 7.7gr. Herco. Just finished. I plan on cranking out another hundred tomorrow then changing over the LnL Ap to load 1k of 38 special. I spent the last 3 days tumbling assorted brass and separating cases.

Woot, 200 rounds of .45ACP at max charge with Titegroup. Took me about 2 hours on a single stage while watching shows on Hulu and listening to music. Time well spent.

Yesterday morning I sized around 100 .223 cases, though after a half dozen got one stuck (a rim tore off) and had to switch to the RCBS small base die to finish off the rest.

There was no way to save all the pieces. The decap pin was stuck deep in the case because of the long Lee expander hanging on the case neck. I had no stuck case extractor on hand and the drill bit would have eaten into the decap pin, so I knocked out the case using the decap pin as a punch.

Later on I found out Midway carries spare Lee .308 decap pins but not .223, so I'd need to call Lee directly. Instead I bought a complete replacement sizer as part of an RGB set, so I have an extra seating die. I also bought one of their hand presses so that along with that extra die I can do my ladder testing and load up cases with the best results at the range .

I trimmed, chamfured, deburred, and primed about 250 .223 last night. It seemed like it took forever, but really only took about an hour and a half.

I also cleaned, FL resized, decapped about 25 30-06 and 10 .223.

Well, my lot seems kind of puny when compared to those monster Barrett rounds...

I loaded a couple lots of .44 target rounds using some AA-#9. Trying to get to a slow enough powder to maybe ease the lead fouling I am getting using MBC 240gr LSWC's.

I also loaded 4 lots of 50 each, 9mm 115gr Montana Gold FMJ using three different powders I am trying: Bullseye, Unique, W231, starting light and working up.

I loaded the 9's in anticipation of getting my broken H&K P2000 back from, ah, H&K. Not so fast, I guess they have a lot of broken guns to fix as it has been almost 2 weeks and counting. Seems kind of slow to replace one of the gizzies on the sear axle. Oh well, maybe I will dig out the 92FS and see how she does with my hand loads....
