hey enthusiast, i realize this build party is full, but I was wondering if it would be possible to build a dragunov? If i can get a parts kit for it, do you have all the tools/jigs for it? and would it be possible for me to be in the next build party?

Unless you have a line on a "dragunov" milled receiver and a parts kit that probably cost a few thousand dollars, you are probably talking about a PSL. There are a few people that know how to build them. But it may be to much of a build to do at a build party, depending on how much work you have gotten done before hand.

If you are referring to a real SVD I am not sure if there is anyone who has working knowledge of one, let alone fired one.

Just got my shipment from Brownell's and among other things I now have 5.45X39mm head space gages to add to the collection.

I'll also bring a brass or some other type of rod incase someone gets a live round stuck in a dirty chamber like last time. PITA that was.

Like the others have said you probably mean a PSL, I dont have the tools for a PSL build and so far as you can see no luck on any of the helpers showing up with them.

BUMP ---> Still looking for Yugo tools. <---- BUMP

Rg619 are you still gonna order Toth's Yugo barrel tools?

If not let me know I might just order them:
http://www.tothtool.com/product_info.php?products_id=33

Kcstott I have a ball end mill and some steel if you are up for fabricating a bucking bar for the rear rivets of the Yugo trigger guard I think that should take care of the trouble spots of Yugo building unless there is something else that I am forgetting...

P.W. You are CONFIRMED on the waiting list.

Jayruta Nice I will have to check out your technique on the rear trigger guard rivets.

I was eyeing the Toth barrel tools for barrel pin removal using the 12 Ton Press to stabilize the bulged front trunnion while using the AKBuilder barrel pin ram. I know you could also use Aimsmall's Air Hammer barrel Pin removal method. Do you have a 3rd way of doing it?

Just a heads up guys, anyone who needs barrels done need to get it to me ASAP. I don't want to be stuck with 10 barrels to do the week before the build party. Please get them to me ASAP. Quicker turn-around with earlier turn in's.

KC me and you should get together and I can bring my M70ab2 so you can see what Dan is talking about, and I need a tool made for a barrel pusher when the trunnion is in.

Exclamation EVERYONE PLEASE READ

I have not posted for a while in this thread because I have been uncertain what to post so far here is what I know:

About a week and half ago the host of the Build Party location was walking across the property when he collapsed and stopped breathing. There was a neighbor visiting that gave CPR and called 911.

Upon being brought into the ER the doctors determined the cause to be a brian tumor the size of a golf ball. He under went surgery on Nov 23 to remove the tumor. It was a success the doctor was able to completly remove the tumor and he was able to text me by Nov 24.

I did not want to post the bad news here on Thanksgiving. But figured I would inform everyone that the party would have be canceled or put on hold.

At this point after our most recent phone conversation I am happy to announce to party will go on as scheduled. Prayers to the property host for a speedy recovery.

Thank you all.

I'm going to have to cancel due to being sent off to Ohio on the 5th of Jan for a weeks worth of training. I just found this out today around lunch time.
I'm trying to figure out a way to get you guys the generator But I think that's not going to fly with my boss as I would be gone for a week and they not knowing you guys wouldn't like loaning our only working welder out. This sucks I wanted to build some damn guns and drink some beer.

I'll see what I can do about the generator but I would make other plans.

1 Generator and 2-3 Air Compressors and Dog Treats are priority ONE and should be easily doable we still have plenty of time before the party.

Also needed are a few more Drill Presses and 12 Ton Shop Presses.

Well it's not even work it's BS training in Springfield Ohio which means fives day of death by power point.
I usually have to pack some machine oil so I don't get withdrawal symptoms.

Believe me as much work a s a build party is to participate in I love them. I'd much rather be building and helping and hanging out. I damn sure wish I could be there to see the property owner. Hopefully he gets a clean bill of health here soon and it's not level four glioblastoma. That's what killed my father six years ago. Seem's a common thing among baby boomers more so with Viet Nam Vets. I don't wish that stuff on anyone.

The underfolder is considered a feature I think. Can you go featureless with a polish underfolder if you pin the folder and put a wrap on pistol?

Readytotroll: Tapco style ambidextrous grip wrap right?

S470fm: do you want a grip wrap aswell? I need to know what kind of grip you are using. If I don't have 1 to mold off of you will have to drop it off beforehand.

If anyone else needs anything done please get it to me ASAP. I don't want to be stuck doing work Christmas week for New Years. PM me if you need anything done.
