The problem is that they have moved a lot of the desirable items from the Pro Shop to the Armorer's Shack.

Can't use credits in the Armorer's shop any more?

When I was there end of feb
They had a wall of holster/mag pouch sets, cleaning kits, frog lube, shooting glasses, electronic ear muffs, some knives and multi tools, dry practice manuals, shirts and jackets That's all I can think of |

That's too bad. I had my Glocks upgraded when I was there late last year and paid for it with Ambassador bucks.
It seems the Ambassador bucks are getting hader and harder to actually use.

Any more blue or red guns in the pro shop? Last year when I was out there, they had a stack for a fair price and I was hoping to pick a few up. Otherwise, I'll be hoping something useful is in the case...or just save the bucks for the annual background check.

A buddy wants to give me a Patriot membership. What does it cost and can it be upgraded to a Ambassador membership?

Well I guess if a buddy is giving it to you, it cost nothing
Last I seen, ambassador upgrade was 399, which could end at any time, you never know how many 'last chances' he will give. |

The Patriot includes the following classes: Two Day Defensive Handgun; Two Day Tactical Shotgun; Two Day Practical Rifle; Four Day Defensive Handgun; Four Day Tactical Shotgun; Four Day Practical Rifle. You can see membership details here: http://www.frontsight.com/handgun-tr...emberships.asp I am not aware of a current program to upgrade to Ambassador. But, there might be one I'm not aware of. Maybe someone can post a link.

Since they make it fairly hard to DG the "intro" classes, for most of us I'm not at all sure that there really is a lot of benefit to upgrading beyond the Patriot level. If all you are interested in is the FS instruction itself at the current FS location, there is a far better option to purchasing or upgrading to Ambassador. For around $100 you can purchase a Diamond membership. Quite a few are "in the wind"; just Google "Front Sight Membership" and you should find plenty of options.

If you want to DG you need to Dry Practice. Fortunately another Front Sight student has just come out with a free Android app to help you practice.
In Google Play, search for "Sartuga" and select the "Dry Practice Drill" app. It is basically a timer to help you practice your presentation and malfunction clearance drills. Enjoy! Wow, is $100 all the Diamonds are going for???? They are $14,900 on the FS website. $500 was the last "non-advertising" price for Diamond memberships I was informed of. That was before the FS price increase and membership availability. The FS memberships have been unavailable for quite some time...I don't even think a Patriot will go for under $500-1000 anymore, unless someone has a large cache of them willing to let them go for uber cheap. I have Patriots, Legacies, and Diamonds but $100??? I haven't even attempted to transfer or sell mine but maybe it's time to start letting some go once my family is covered with a membership....... We'll see where the prices go..... |

That's the rumor. But, I think people are selling too low, if that is the case. I figure they will run out soon, or i just need to find a better market.

I think some are claiming 100 just so they can try go buy one for that, I don't know any person that actually sells them for 100, or anyone that had actually bought one for 100, unless its a family thing or something like that
If you can get them for 100, I'd suggest buying a bunch if them at that price |

I posted the following comment to the "Learning to Kill" article:
"So, Kristin: 'Learning to Kill'? Was that your idea or your editor's? Hopefully you were paying more attention than to leave the class thinking that learning to kill was the objective." |

I agree with an earlier post.......if they are going for $100, buy as many as you can. In reality, if you can get someone to let a Patriot let alone a Diamond membership to go for $500, you would be fortunate. If they are available for $100 they will not be around at that price for long. So, get them while they last at that price........seriously! |

I saw the $99 FS Diamond on that website too, don't have its address now. It read that they have permission from FS to advertise, on their website. anyway, its good to get a deal!! But, I won't sell any of my memberships that low, if I do, I feel I am deminishing their worth and it hurts other members who are selling theirs!

1,100 students a day. Classes packed to capacity. Isn't it becoming too late to diminish the value of a lifetime membership? I offered to help a friend of a friend become a lifetime member. They declined my offer. I late found out they signed up a bunch of people as Diamonds for 75 bucks. Seems like the market is really saturated.
Having said that, i still appreciate what Front Sight is doing. Tons of new shooters learning safe, effective gun handling is not a bad thing.

I read my posts again and want to offer an apology to anyone who took offense to them. I definately wasn't intending to call anyone a "liar." After I read the posts they came accross a bit harsh. So, I apologize for any offense.

Front Sight Members Check In Here!
Membership Type: Ambassador
Membership Date: 2011 Courses Taken: 2DDH, 2DPR, 2DTS, 4DDH(x2) Next Course: I dunno - what's next after 4DDH grad? Comments: Memberships & Cert's info here too. Adding my endorsement of the Front Sight "experience". I've been out there 3 times, and every time, I learned something, had fun, re-learned humility, & was impressed with the professionalism of the staff. I'm almost to the point where I can sing along with the ND stories (heard each at least 3x now...) The handgun classes students include the whole spectrum of firearms experience: from the highly skilled to the newest of the new - all mixed in together. Those that need more help get it, & the pace of the training for the class is not disrupted. They really emphasize safety - but every once in a while, somebody decides not to follow the rules.. Last week somebody in a 2-day handgun class loaded a gravel-retrieved 9mm in his .40 pistol & blew it up. Rare, but it happens. Yeah - I noticed the 'fire sale'-priced memberships offered by that guy too, so I won't be selling for a while, I guess. Advice? SPF 50.
