Arrow feel like being a grade school girl dressing Barbies.....

just got my latest grips from challisgrips.com

Brian Challis, a professional wood carving artist, did wonderful work and he's specialized in exotic wood. The grips I ordered are the Australian Red Morrel. The texture and grain are amazing!

I feel like I was a grade school girl playing dressing barbies when I was putting these grips onto my 1911's!

Can't wait for the Honduran Rosewood grips from him. It might take a few more months......

thank you all for your kind words. The maker, Brian Challis, did great work on selecting the perfect wood piece and making the grips.

FYI, I did not apply anything onto the grips. I used 3 flash units to light up and brought out the details in each grips.

OP, you have great taste in guns and grips, stunning, absolutely stunning!!!!

Grips for 1911's are like shoes for woman, got's to have many pairs! I know I have multiple sets for my 1911's. Get bored, change out grips!

Stunning! I no longer collect guns, but I've always felt as though a new set of grips counted as a new gun......It is especially true now that I have the few guns I depend on. I've always been a fan of Sam Barbakov of Omega Grips for my CZ's.....There are several others, but when you find someone who works with Exotic Woods, you've scored well....Thanks for sharing them.....Monsterface

Beautiful. Simply beautiful. I killed my last set of black walnut grips. got one side nice and slipped making the other side. I need to try again.
