Default Something different!

I have put a whole bunch of work in to this piece, can any one guess?
so far i have been to the range only a few times with decent accuracy,
not getting the 1moa like some of these rifles, but for the money, and uniqueness, not to shabby.

Thanks. Its a Remington 1903A1 with a Criterion barrel, Steve Earle blocks, Lyman mounts (original Unertl mounts that are black enamel are almost non-existent) and repro Malcolm USMC scope.

I also have a low 4 digit Unertl 1” 6X target scope (with original pre-war black enamel mounts) as a backup; but I need to send it off for repair as its parallax needs redoing.

Remington 700 Sendero in 300 Win Mag.
-Factory barrel chopped to 20", threaded 5/8-24 and contoured for an Ops Inc compatible collar. Current muzzle brake is from Darkmetal Designs, but will eventually be swapped out with an Ops Inc 12th Brake once I move out of state.
-M-5 Stealth bottom meta (PTG)l with AI 10rd mag. (looks kind of ridiculous, need to pick up some 5 round mags for this)
-TPS 20 MOA steel scope base with TPS 30mm low rings
-BSA 4-14X44 FFP scope (Temporary, thinking Bushnell HDMR eventually)
-Choate Tactical stock, stippled in the grip and forend. Cheek rest made from scrap Kydex, craft foam and hardware frome Lowes and McMaster Carr.
-Painted with Duacoat Desert Mirage Brown, and a 50/50 mix of DMB and FDE

Is it just me or is that pretty rifle of yours missing a trigger?

Thought controlled. Funny thing though, it only works if you think in Russian. "You must think in Russian....."

Actually, this was mocked up after the paint had cured, I still have to put the trigger back on along with proper torque on all the mounting screws. Good catch!

Default No, not just those things (and the trigger is optional)

Pablo, nice build dude. It's not at 80%, but who's counting? Also, who really cares? For those that do:
  • The lower should either be Colt or FN A1 (yours is better)
  • Your trigger is correct for some MOD 0's, and completely correct for MOD 1's (originally, full-auto triggers worked better than 3-round burst on the early ones, but it finally decided to use the KAC 2-Stage)
  • I only saw one REAL Mk12 with KNS pins... the one I had overseas
  • I only saw one with hydrolic buffer... the one I had overseas (Ar-Restor)
  • The upper should either be Colt/Diemaco or Armalite (yours is better)
  • The BCG should most likely be US issue (yours is better), but saw some with Failzeros
  • Rails/Rings are spot-on, except for the addition of the Ring Caps, Ring Rails, and Half Spacer. Not sure why you'd go this route, but hey, if it works...
  • Your Leuppy is a good one and pretty common, but I saw more with the 2.5-8 and even the 1.5-5 Mark 4's. Still, great choice. My Mk12 has the 1.5-5, but will soon be sporting the 2.5-8. My Mk11 dresses out with the 3.5-10.
  • I saw way too many Mk12's with different grips and buttstocks to pretend there is/was a standard. As a meaty-handed dude, I liked the Ergo Tactical Deluxe grip, and since Magpul sent us all kinds of free stuff (love those guys), I had the PRS on my Mk12 and Mk11. My personal Mk12 has the Ergo I used overseas, and a VLTOR stock. My Mk11 uses the Ergo and PRS.

That is a McCrees Precision Chassis. If I don't send the barrels off to Marvin Pitts, I do it myself.
