She told me it was 7.62x39 so I said "oh the SKS round" She tells me "NO its an AK round! SKS is different." I let that one go.
I asked to look at it and she tells me that you can "slap hicap AK mags in this thing no problem". I comment "and trigger 922r" She tells me "922r isnt real, its just made up to scare people into buying more parts". (should have walked out right there).
While looking the rifle over I said to myself (out loud), boy this thing needs a PG conversion (I already have a 223 and 308 Saigas converted). She tells me that that is illegal and I will go to jail. I said "I know I know it has to be mag-locked" She then tells me that NO centerfire rifle can have a pistol grip either fixed mag or mag locked. I then asked her why she had 3 SKS with Tapco T6 stocks on the rack and 5 ARs!!!!(I may have called her an idiot as well)
I was asked to leave........Acheivement unlocked.
Knowing that, you simply stepped into a known pile of crap. Perhaps, next time, you will avoid it . . . Perhaps, not.

You are 100% right. I hadnt been in the shop for over a year. A friend of mine told me he had seen a really nice 1945 M44 in there recently and my mind started wandering. "maybe some old salt brought in a matching k98?"

+1.

I fail to see the point. If someone is ill-informed. Way to win them over.
