Then should we set up a meeting spot? I'd rather not be the only one in a parking lot nearby with a sign offering to buy guns. That'd look too shady. I'd feel more comortable with a group of calgunners and I'd get to meet a lot of you too.

Yes, someone who is familiar with the area needs to locate a spot for us to stand. When I get home tonight I'll google earth it and try to find one. Save for one instance with a calgunner I won't name, all of the buy backs have been a blast. It's exciting not knowing what will be in the next trunk.

Here you go.
Alpha will be the the west location on Mata dr.
Bravo will be the east location off Rancheros dr.
These locations are GTG from previous buy backs.

I will be at the west location.
I will bring an ez-up and a few chairs.

It starts at 8:00, right? Do you plan to be set up before that? I'm kind of interested, although I don't really need any more guns.

I'll roll over there about 8am.

Just need to stick a sign in the dirt on Rancheros to get the folks to turn onto Mata.

And this is where the gift of gab will be crucial...
Most gun stores don't open for a hour or 2.

Turners is 10am
Duncan's is 9am
North County Firearms is 10am

EDIT...National may be open...wait for updates

Are there going to be any 07FFL's there? I think I have seen that before. This is such a sweet opportunity to get some great deals! I hope I can make it. Shoot, you can probably take 500 bucks and score big!

I understand the buyback program well and it's an opportunity to score a nice arm or to get rid of an old paper weight that isn't safe.

But...there is a little part of me that would also like to see the SDSD sit there a few hours without a "customer". Totally unrealistic and less than rational but still...

Good hunting-

Respectfully
Kyle

Yeah, got a new job and ended up in Memphis. Definitely miss San Diego, but it's a lot cheaper to live here. Working on getting my ccw also.
I have friends that live in NC. They love it!

I think if you are offering more than the $50,$100, or $150 in cash, people that need the money will take a reasonable offer.

As of this post, we will have 8am FFL support at Empowered firearms in Vista.
He will have a PPT DROS option for those doing multiple guns on one DROS.

I will stage at Mata st. with ez-up, a table, and coffee and donuts for visitors selling guns.
Calguns members can bring their own donuts.

I'm calling it the "civilian gun buy-back"

I would love to see their faces when each gun comes up and someone offers to buy it and they both walk off into the FFL sunset.

No pics of the buy back.

My score....

Rifles-
Model 60 .22 (well used-decent)
Mossberg m42 .22 bolt action (beat/rusty)
Carcano 7.5 bolt action (decent)

Pistols-
Ruger MK1 .22 (worn finish-decent)
Beretta 418 .25 auto (good shape)

Nothing too valuable...just some old stuff.

Congrats guys, too bad about the Garand, look at that poor Luger.

This made me chuckle:

I'd say very minimal LE contact, both guys that talked to us were very professional. I know chad and albert got a little attitude from LE for handing out cards to the people in line.

I got a beretta 71 jaguar in excellent condition. Lots of guns to go around. I think everyone that wanted to buy a gun got one. Good times, and I'll hit more for sure.
