Default 7.5s or 8s?

Random question....

For you trap/sporting/skeet shooters....do you prefer 7 1/2s or 8s?

I sometimes think I miss more with 7.5s because I have less pellets, but then sometimes I think I don't break targets when I shoot 8s.

I usually shoot 7.5' s, but for me it is more about the company. I only buy the bulk packs from wallywork, so it is wither winchester or federal.

For me I like the Federal much better.

If you are shooting at 16 yards and not waiting all day to shoot, I am fully convinced that 8s are a superior load. More pellets in the shot column = more breaks.

7 1/2s for trap, unless you got lots o money and can find copper plated 8s; 8s or 9s for skeet

I like 7.5 for sporting clays, 8's are a little light.

7.5 for trap and sporting clays. 9 for skeet, even though now I'm shooting 8.5 for skeet because that's what's available. But i've also shot 7.5 for skeet. It doesn't matter, they all crush the birds.
