Default Thought that I'd share a few mods to the SDB's

Here are a few more mods that I have made;

.) Removed every allen head screw and replaced with phillips head screws. I got tired of looking for the exact right size allen wrench. A single phillps screwdriver works on every screw on all four of my machines.

.) Installed a thumbscrew in place of the allen screw for the powder hopper. I attached a lock nut in the correct spot to tighten to the angle/hopper holder do-dad.

.) Trimmed away some of the metal at the completed drop ramp for better access to the initial loading station #1. (Large hands.)

.) Bought a larger completed round holding box and used the original (Well a red one replacing the blue one.) perpendicular to the larger bin to hold the empties. You may need to trim a touch off of the bottom 'rail' of the top one to fit.

.) Since the primer alarm wasn't used as intended, I now use it as a powder alarm by velcr-oing it to the top. The large flat washer serves as the trigger.

.) While on the powder alarm, the Dillon metal hopper top falls off too easily when moving the hopper, so I have installed some plastic end caps that fit snugly so they won't fall off even if the hopper is upside down. Less powder spills.

.) The bullet station hole that goes through the die has been opened up just enough to insert a small light bulb so that viewing inside the case for powder check is doable. Don't forget to turn it off!

.) Lastly, a 2" PVC cap is inside the hopper, which not only is used for the low powder alarm, but has a few bullets inside to help with powder weight consistency. (No Pic.)
