Thumbs down Over 2 Months & still no Utah Permit

Well, I mailed the application in mid-May and they deposited my check 5/28. And I'm leaving Monday on a several week drive across the West & Midwest. I reckon I should have gone for the AZ permit instead.

Under Utah laws, UT DPS BCI has 60 days to process your application.

Since it has passed that time period, you should call them and inquire about your application.

Well, I left the past Monday at about 11am. My mail doesn't come until 3 or 4. My Nephew is staying at my place so when he got the mail guess what was in it? Go ahead, guess!! Lol, yep, it was in that days mail! So I had him mail it to me to my Neice's. I'll have it for half the trip anyway!

My Utah permit came yesterday, a couple of days after the 60 day limit.
No longer need to renew my Washington permit.

Now I only need Oregon and Colorado to fill out the western US...

Colorado does not issue non-resident permits.

Colorado does not honor other States' non-resident permits.
Example... CO honors resident UT permits and does not honor non-resident UT permits.

You should get both not "instead" as the more coverage you have the better. The reciprocity laws are always changing so having as many as you can gives you the best coverage in the most states!
