Numbers matching Egyptian Maadi kit built onto an American receiver. Its marking as a 1987 rifle. Arabic on everything. Going to engrave the arabic selector markings too. Havent done the cosmetic stuff yet like the paint. Its a work in progress.

New Furniture
Here's the new furniture. Hogue upper and lower handguard and MAGPUL vertical grip. A BIG improvement over the TAPCO stuff. I did have to file down the upper handguard a bit to get the gas block lever to lock into place.

Wow. The upload compression through Cal-Guns takes a lot of color and distorts image a bit.
Im sure there is a thread talking about the best way to post big and clear pics?

Here's mine, crappy pics, will have to take some better ones.
Century Arms GP-1975, Timbersmith laminated furniture. Planning on installing an AKARS rail and primary arms micro-dot optic in the near future. Considering changing the furniture out for a collapsible stock and a railed handguard.

It's an oil bottle. They would usually be issued with the rifle.

I know it's hard to not fondle it. Some people will keep all the wood off to keep it from soaking up the oil till it's done curing. Oil soaked towels wrapped around it from what I heard work best. It keeps the finish more even and less chance to be splotchy.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. It's a Century WASR-10 that I bought in 2004, right after the AWB sunset. I pad around $300 for it. The finish is pretty rough and the front sight block is canted. But the guys at Century compensated by tapping the sight post to the right. They even marked the front sight post and sight block with a line in case the front sight post were to get knocked out of place. It even came with targets they zeroed it on. My first time shooting it I was bouncing a coffee can up a hill at about 80-100 yards out with iron sights. Due to health reasons I still haven't zeroed in my red/green dot. I'm anxious to see how well it holds up.
