Default Pulled .223 bullets from topbrass-inc.com

Greetings all,

I've been on the lookout for bulk .223 bullets and ran into a few sites that had pulled rounds for cheap. Most of them however are out of stock. Well, almost all, save for the only one I found with rounds. I can take a wild guess as to why buyers haven't run them out. Have a look at these:

My question is: Is it reasonable for me to assume that it would be insane to load these with the intent to fire them through a firearm and not damage the barrel to high hell? It looks like the metal bulges where the indented marks are.

Best case they are not that accurate, worst case they don't seat properly and are complete junk...price isn't all that great anyway...I have seen 1k new for a $90-100...Now thst I think of it, maybe not these exploitation days though

+1 pulled bullets are hit and miss I had a friend who got some .308's that only 1 in 5 would seat. I bought some 115gr 9mm pulled from RMR they worked good but 25% were 125gr 74% were 115 and 1% were 147's it was a pain in the butt cause i had to sort them all prior to loading.

those are a complete waste of money, I bought those and most of the bullets were squished and flattened, however the .308 bullets were just fine.

They are a steal for plinking ammo, however don't expect great accuracy from them

Most ranges don't allow you to shoot steel core so consider where you shoot before buying them

i havent used this brand before... and there are better companies that have different pulling techniques...

that said i have used bullets pulled just like the ones you picture and they work just fine.... there is no bulges but indents... i would never use them for match grade/custom ammo but they are a great plinker... seeing how i plink around 50-100 yards in the hills, ive never had a problem.... ive probably shot 2500+ of bullets like these.

I bought 1K of those 3-4 months ago, I had to toss 300+ out because they were too mangled to reload, that made it not such a good deal.

I've said it elsewhere on this forum and I will say it again here, just buy the Hornady bulk 55gr FMJBT, there is nothing better for bulk .223 loading available and they are only $89/thousand from Midway. They shoot MOA for most anyone who uses them and they are top quality to start with. Why would anyone even think of buying pulled crap for almost the same price as something like the Hornady is beyond me.

Considering that stocks of good 55gr FMJ are hard to find lately because of high demand, you have to ask yourself about why those are readily available at Top Brass

I've loaded and shot 3k of those pulled bullets from Top Brass. I've thrown out exactly 2. I have a few thousand left and I plan to buy some more. They have two levels of pulled bullets, one was $50/k and were beat to heck, and the ones in the OP. I have had good accuracy and plan to keep useing the bullets.
