My Mav was my first gun, and I’ve put more into her in accessories than the purchase price of the gun, but now she’s just the way I like her. Parts include:

A Mossberg 500 action slide tube.
Magpul forend and SGA stock
OEM Buttpad adapter with Limbsaver buttpad
Snap-on fiber optic sight
Shoten Armory extended slide release
NDZ Performance high-viz magazine follower
Velcro attachment for Esstac shotgun card
GG&G light attachment rail
Swing swivel.

Now it’s comfy!

I own a first generation Ithaca Deerslayer III with a 24" fully rifled parkerized bull barrel. The shotgun alone weighs 10lbs.

Bersa Max sitting on my steel toed Wolverines from my refinery days, and both sitting on glass. Inside joke of the image is that both have a kick. A light from below the glass is providing a glow.









This is the Vepr 12 sitting on a slab of translucent acrylic, which in turn is supported by glass tubes. The gun is in semi-silhouette bathed in warm tones.










This is a monochrome study of the Vepr 12 and gun metal, sitting on grey seamless...

12ga. Model 37 Ithaca Deer Slayer III Full Bull Rifled Barrel has been my baby for years. It is a dedicated slug gun that is a perfect "beanfield slug gun" for deer, bear, locomotives, or the occasional Cape Buffalo munching on my wife's Petunias (tongue firmly planted in check). But seriously, I LOVE this shotgun! I just wish I was in better health and perhaps a little younger so I could do some trophy black bear hunting with it. I really miss hunting but after my "widow maker heart attack" six months ago that several doctors said there was NO medical explanation for why I was still alive, I have to take things a "little easier" these days working back up into things. Shooting 12 gauge 3 inch magnum slugs is a NO NO from the doctors for quite a while darn it.

Big Bores make Big Holes and a rifled dedicated 12ga. slug gun with premium grade slugs is like shooting a .73 caliber rifle when used with in its designed range capability.
