Thanks Dimitri. I will probably take it to the range after the holiday season.

Bought one today to take advantage of the free 2 day shipping!

Also bought the Burris AR-P.E.P.R. QD Mount for $48 bucks (after rebate) to go with it (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=961004)

Looking forward to seeing if I like this model better then my current PA 4X Prism scope (whichever one I keep the other will be up for sale FYI)

For the price these things seems awesome and get great reviews ... plus I like the option for variable magnification 9with my 4X a couple times I wanted something not as much and I noticed I would like a few more X power as well ... so hopefully this 1-6x gives me the best of all worlds.

I will post pics and thoughts after they all arrive and I get em on the range sometime soon hopefully.

I took this bad boy out a while back and was on paper at over half a mile with a 15-20 mph cross wind.

Impressive.

I see you have a front A2 post ... I have a PA 4X Prism scope now and I can BARELY even see a tiny blur with 4X on my rifle with front post so I know 4-6X the front sight post is non existent.

I am curious about what you see with 1-3X .... how much can you see the front post?

I have seen red-dot with 1X and they co-witness with the front sight and look okay ... how does this ACSS Reticle look at like 1x or 2x when you can see the front post? does it Witness / co-witness well with the front sight? or does the lower part of the reticle just blend in with the post? can you see the CQB horseshoe perfect above the front sight when at 1X???

Thanks so much for any info you can provide on my question and further thoughts on this scope.

I ordered mine today and it's on its way so really it doesn't matter now but even though I will have it in my possession Wednesday my scope QD mount wont be here for about another week or more so I won't be able to see what this looks like until then.

Thanks again!

When at 1X the front post was fully visible and since the tree doesn't apply until your at 6X magnification it works great as a red dot. Once you turn any magnification up the post disappears. It may have darkened the image through the glass a little due to having to look through it, but still very much usuable.

Once over the 2X or 3X magnification you won't notice any post.

Dimitry did chime in when I was looking at it and said they do not recomend co-witnessing with it.
Just a note though once I got this scope on I was not satisfied with my shooting performance. After he first trip out I purchased a low profile gass block, a free float forearm and a bipod to try and get better accuracy.

It's a disease I tell you! Consider yourself warned...

Thanks for the info ... seems like the lower 1/2X is kinda not relevant as much as the higher magnification?

Also what was it about the performance after you got the scope? was it the scope? did you shoot better before you started using the scope? what changed after buying this?

Thanks again for the info ... just trying to learn more about this item before I start using it is all.

No it was my performance not the scope.

I new the scope was accurate and I could see the target out at 100-300 yards out now. But then I wanted to hit the small groups. At 200 yards I was out at about 8" groups. I wanted to shrink that. So I practiced more and had to get a better set up to bring my groups in. Now I'm in to about 4" at 200 yards with cheap ammo.

Thats actually really good. Most military or cheap ammo will produce about a 2 moa group so 4" considering the wind as well your right on.

I cant wait to get my hands on one of these. I just don't know what mount to go for. I have Magpul Pro LR rear so any mount would work, I would love a quick release but not at that 150 mark

Got the throw lever from 89LT1 this week. Easy as pi install, and fits like a glove. Compliments a fine scope.

Planning on ordering today. Is the scout mount with the single QD lever adequate? I looked for coupon codes are there any?

Stalking is such an ugly word, perhaps shy admirer?

Though, I never did get a shirt or hat. Nothing in the dumpster has been in my size, much to my disappointment.

I'll keep stopping by, good things come to those that wait.

Or in this case download ship manifests to determine which slow boat is carrying optic gold and when it will arrive which trucking company picks it up and curse that the good quick driver called in sick and the ****ty guy who takes two hours for lunch making for a late drop off to primary arms was assigned knowing that it will push back availability by at least another day causing untold hours of refreshing ones browser to be able to finally click the check out button.

You know, waiting......

I'll bring the Nachos which honestly have always been a little bland. Could use some sauce or spray or whatever you got. The whistle is over played and these days sounds like just one of the background noises much like a car alarm or motorcycle. Besides it's not your innocence I'm after, just the right size?! I'm content with dumpster diving, it will come to me in due time.

Side note: Somebody is going through a hell of a lot of toothpaste?! Weird huh?

Not that I know of but I am sure it would handle it. Others run them on Socom so it should be no problem. Why are you trying to ninja out a classic gun?

I use mine its a functioning member of the defensive option tree and since all my other rifles have dots I'd like this one to have one too. I'm pretty sure it will make an already handy rifle handier
