It looks to me like jimmies have been thoroughly rustled.

OleCuss- I completely agree with you.
I think the issue being raised by many is the lack of sharing and dissemination of that information and progress.
I think the issue also is how we now move from a history of exclusion to a future of inclusion.
At the most basic level I think there should be two criteria everyone must certify they meet befor they even post here:
1. They are a life NRA member.
2. They have applied for a LTC and shared the results of their efforts in the County specific forum.
I then think we as a whole work on inviting just one person a month to the range.
We now have so many sub forums and bizarre threads it is becoming quick difficult to have an informed discussion, though thankfully the flaming has gone down precipitously year by year.

That would exclude me. I'm not a lifetime member of the NRA. I have a 5 year membership. Some day I may do the lifetime membership, but if they have to earn my membership on a continuous basis it is a way (IMHO) of keeping them more responsive - even if it costs me more in the long-run.

Not sure about shutting down free speech to improve gun rights advocacy.

My social aspect is that I take one person who has never shot a gun before to the range. I talk a little bit about gun safety and pay for the range and ammunition. My minimum is at least once a year. I figure if I do that, and I live an average of 77 years, I'll get at least 50 in my lifetime to take a different look at self defense.

If even half the gun owners in California did this we would be so much better off.
