OP if you are car camping, get a nice roomy bag. I would get this one: cabelas.

Be advised that temp ratings presume sleeping clothed.

Don't forget a nice pad. An air mattress will freeze you in the cold, a thick foam pad or a cheap thin mattress pad will not.

You will sleep like a king on this

Years ago, I bought an Alaskan Guide sleeping bag from Cabelas. It is the best sleeping bag I have owned. I have used it every year while elk hunting in Colorado, where the temps have been as low as minus 28 degrees, and I was comfortable. I just checked Cabelas' website and they no longer have this line of sleeping bag, but they have another similar named line of bags. I don't think you can go wrong with Cabelas.

If you're not backpacking a big heavy Coleman down bag will work. Get a liner for added warmth and versatility. The liner lets you stretch a 3 season bag into 4.

Also look into a good pad. You'll lose all your heat without a good pad.
