Oh, and Big 5 in El Cajon off Fletcher Pkwy is FULLY STOCKED in all shotgun shell sizes & most shot types, ~$8/25shells 12 ga #7.5 birdshot. And a box (90ct) of clay pigeons for $12.

Big 5 is the only place I've seen lots of shotgun ammo, any other calibers are (obviously) hard to find anywhere. Maybe this weekend's gun show in Del Mar if you feel like waiting in line Black Friday style.

I'm going to guess that it was the Rem. Golden Bullet 225 packs. That's what they had last time I saw .22 there.

Hey whats up. Yeah, the .22LR was in Remington Golden Bullet 225ct packs- the same kind that are a pain in the ***** for my GSG-522 .22LR MP5 clone. Something about that brass spray (instead of copper like the 550ct bricks I've always gotten at Walmart) seems to gum up the feed ramp whenever i shoot more than 100 rounds after a fresh cleaning- I get tons of stovepipes and jams. Worked fine in bolt action, but crappy in semi rifles for me.
Anyways, they went for $10 bucks each, 3 box maximum. It was just coincidence- I had stopped in and was talking to someone for 15 min and about to leave, when all of a sudden I heard them say over their walkie talkies that they just got several crates in. 5 min longer and I would have just missed it. Their Federal .223 100rnd pack was only $35, but there were only 4 of them and even though I was 2nd in line, I got the last one, and 2 225 rnd half bricks of .22 . This ammo shortage is brutal.

I knew this wasnt Aero or Shawline stores, but this was the only thread that seemed updated on ammo at WalMart in SD county, so I wanted any Calgunners around to have a chance at it.

If there was no limit (and I had more cash), I'd have swooped up on the 9mm and 45ACP, even though I dont have a pistol, or AR (yet).

Shawline has quite a bit of winchester .40 and UMC value pack .40. Saw a few .45 and some unpacked 12 gauge cartons. No more 9mm and no .223 or .22lr.

For sure, not like the ever-lurking ammo people of Wal-Mart.

If the lines and prices are anything like Phoenix Gun Show 2 weekends ago, forget it!

Wait in line for an hour before show start to gain entrance, then 2 hours in Miwall line just to get reloads for more than we paid for new ammo 4 months ago??? NO THANKS!!!

Everything is out of line price-wise!

You are better off driving to Inglewood and getting reloads from LAXammo!

personal experience? i have 2 sets of magpuls on a ar15 and shotgun. both are holding zero.... what have you read bad about the rear? i saw a troy industries, magpul, and diamond comparison and the magpul was the only one that held zero after a drop test...

Aero Walmart Update 6am

Photo pretty much speaks for itself:

2 boxes of Win 40Cal JHP Home Defense peaking at me from the 2nd to last shelf, center, and a few boxes of 410 Home Defense.

Total Suck. Okay, maybe I won't be selling off some of my spare ammo.

Went by grossmont center walmart last night. Nothing but 410.

Talked to the store clerk. He said he has no idea when they get more in, and when they do sometimes it sits in the back for a couple days.

One day we're all going to laugh at this because Walmart will be fully stocked with everything. Well I hope anyway!

Just checked Shawline, Aero and Turner's KM, and found absolutely nothing of use to us other than the cute girls at Turner's.

The one girl at Turners KM is just so damn cute it almost makes it not matter that there's no powder...
