The M9 Beretta is my deployment sidearm. The bible was in Vietnam with my father. The knife is my lady's diving knife. The watch was with me through basic training. The background is my uniform. The location is Afghanistan.

I see another Glock 35. I love my Gen3. Anyone I hand it to are always shocked that it's a 40 S&W. Such a great shooter

I like those citizen models, and was disappointed when I saw "mineral crystal". I just can't deal with that cheap crap and I don't know why Citizen uses it so much. Sapphire is the way to go considering how many times a watch crystal can be banged around.

Personal taste I suppose. Scratches are easy to buff out of mineral crystal and Ive seen a few sapphire crystals straight up shatter.
Honestly though the best crystal Ive have are the Hardlex mineral crystals in my Seikos.

Yep, same for the Casio G-Shock which is ever popular among the military crowd. I don't mind a hardened mineral crystal in an inexpensive watch. Hardened mineral crystal is 7 MOHs hardness, Sapphire is 9 MOHs, about 3x harder but not like mineral is soft as acrylic either.

Most Breitling, Tag and Omega watches, among others at the high end, have a double application of anti reflective coating over the sapphire crystal. The Sapphire is hard to scratch but the A/R coating can be scratched much easier. So you are damned if you do, damned if you don't. They sell replacement Omega, Tag, Rolex and Breitling Sapphire watch crystals for a reason.

And some crystal faces from Stettler Sapphire can run up to $30,000 just for the watch crystal. There's always something better, even among Sapphire crystal watch faces - so don't get too caught up if the price is right. My strategy is to have plenty of watches to wear

For just over $2,000,000 USD - you can have this all-Sapphire case watch:

Can't hang with the big boys in here. Not much of a watch collection to speak of, really only own a few watches.
Mine are opposite of most pics here guns cost more then my watches.
