Ok, since it lools like a lot of CGrs know their watches. Between Rolex, IWC, Omega, Hublot, Breitling and ??? For the money and collectability, what's your choice to pair with my PPQ M2 5" or SA Range Officer? I'm looking at upgrading from my old TAG to one of the finer timepieces listed. I prefer a dive watch or aviator style and bracelet band.

the prices between the names youve mentions are VERY far apart, and very subjective. Omega and some bretling offerings will be more affordable dive watches, iwc is a bit more and a rolex is easily double. with a hublot, youll get less "for the money" and pay a lot more.

i would personally suggest Bell and Ross or Bretling if you want an aviator style chronograph. If you like "racing" style chronographs, omega speedmaster or a tudor are very affordable. and for the best quality for the money, a rolex daytona with a zenith movement. i think it still holds true that the zenith movement in the modern daytona is a mechanical marvel.

keep in mind these watches should be serviced every 5 years of continual wear to maintain your investment, youll want to do some research as to who can service your watch and for what costs. hublot and rolex are pretty steep, hublot easily being double. jewels, mainspring, oil, cleaning and confirm waterproofing is the common service list. check in house service costs and certified private smiths.

Good info... I'm leaning toward the Breitling and Rolex with Omega also in the running... Haven't looked at the Bell and Ross yet but will. It seems the Rolex just holds its value best, which is important to me. Hopefully I'll have some pics to post here soon now that my taxes are done! Thanks!

Wfishnsea. Are you open to buying preowned watches? Next time you drive towards Tahoe let me know. We can go watch shopping. I'm a "bad" influence -all my friends have Swiss watches now. Oops

For what you spend and get with a Hublot, I'd either get a Panerai since those are timeless, or save a little more and get an Audemars Piguet like a Royal Oak. But then the people I know who wear an AP all drive $200k cars and spend a lot more on their firearms hobby

A Rolex Submariner or Breitling Superocean are classy looking without looking too bling or gaudy.

Thanks for the offer. I am not opposed to pre-owned. Funny thing, I have a boat in Mexico called "Bad Influence." Sounds like my kind of shopping trip! I'll look you up if I head that way!

We all started somewhere and we are all enthusiasts! I think my first watch was a timex. I had many "rusty" watches, but they kept breaking so I bought my first swiss watch Omega when I was 17. Saved up all my summer money! Have had it almost half my life! Almost lost it twice! yikes!

Nice Shield w/ laser. So what's your next watch/handgun combo?

That $75 Timex you see, right there, has been in 8 different countries. It has traveled 10's of thousands of bike, run, swim, hike, walk, run/gun miles. It has seen the top of 3 different 14k peaks and been in 3 oceans. It has been through roughly 50 different types of multi-sport races, a few bike accidents, and seen a lot of fapping. It has been in -10 and in 120 degrees. It has traveled from the South side of the Grand Canyon, to the North side, and back in 1 day (roughly 10 hours to be exact). It's predecessor was a Timex, and it's grandfather was a Timex and it's great grandfather was a Timex. And it lives on my wrist 24/7 for months at a time. Taking it off for that photo was the first time I have had it off in maybe 6 months. Me and that cheap Timex, we do sh**.

Thanks brother. I put the same type on my Inox Beretta 92 and I always thought they looked clean. The only bummer is I couldn't find any stainless grip screws for the Desert Eagle so I had to grind down my own, but once I did, I think it came together quite nicely

My wear every day watch that gives street cred when walking around in La Jolla wearing board shorts and sandals...and a safe queen that I like to fondle every so often...
