It's called humor. Try it on sometime, you might like it.

Thanks, it sees targets at the range I meet Angus at The shooting sports fair in Norco two years ago and had him do the work. I have a 75da/sa that I'm thinking of having him work on.

Natural light from the window, a white piece of cloth and a cheap camera. The originals look better, you have to scale them down a lot to fit in photobucket.com.

You can do it all yourself! I just replaced the extractor spring with an extra power one (my empty cases weren't always ejecting, now they do) which required bumping up one level for the recoil spring to keep it going into battery properly. Here's some pictures of how to take that apart:

Keep looking. There are a few out there in CA and they're worth the wait.

BTW you guys are killing me with this thread. I just shipped two SP-01s to Angus this morning. It's going to be a long two weeks to wait!

Oh man. That's exactly what I'm looking for. Sooooo sweet! I would sell my GSG-5 and more to get a full size SP-01 in .40S&W.

When you say "there are a few out there" you mean getting it from a law enforcement/person who has a non-rostered SP-01, correct? What's the best way to go about that? Put a WTB in my signature line here on Calguns?

I'd post a WTB ad and just keep looking. You'll need a ppt unless you have a parent out of state.

As much as I like that particular gun I do have to say I prefer the 9mm version. Somehow CZ's just feel like they should be 9mm guns. If you want a compact the P-06 in .40 seems to be much more available via PPT.

Thanks!

This CZ-75 has been customized by me. Polished and tuned internals, welded up and fitted barrel, trigger job (DA (smooth) @ 10 lbs, SA @ 3lbs), and satin hard chrome finish.

Fresh from Angus and the wizards at CZ Custom:

SP-01 converted to S/A only, S/A trigger, Shadow safeties, comp hammer. Very nice trigger now!

SP-01 decocker, comp hammer, polish and 13# mainspring. Much nicer trigger in D/A and S/A.

If I had it to do again I'd get the factory rubber grips instead of hogue finger grooved rubber grips.

I believe it was about $180 for the decocker and about $250 for the S/A conversion since it includes a new trigger as well. Turn around was exactly two weeks. Several shops do work on the DA/SA models but CZ custom is one of the few that works on the decocker as well.

1996 CZ 85 Combat - rear sight was replaced (we're going to un-replace that at some point, I have the original bo-mar) and in need of more cleaning; lots of oxidization. The bluing on this is superb under that crud, very beautiful and lustrous; nose slightly heavier do to the lack of lightening cuts on the dust cover. This is gonna look great with wood grips on it!

That is very nice Blued... Not all CZ's are like that, where can you find those only 90's production? aftermarket?

They stopped doing that back when, it's factory bluing for sure and not aftermarket. I'm not exactly sure when they went to the newer blued look (not the polycoat) that's darker...

I'm curious -- on the right hand slide side right behind (left of) the front serrations, what's the year stamp next to the Czech lion mark? My "normal" stamped P-01 is an '07.
