I've always wondered why the "Pro Series" text on the 4.25" and 5" are different...

So jealous of all these M&Ps! Going to go start the paperwork on my first one this Sat! It's going to be the longest 10 days, ever!

The M&P is awesome. I am still conflicted as between the SR9 and M&P9. They are both so great.

The only "pro" characteristic on the 4.25" is the trigger job. Other than it's just a regular FS. Cheaper to have those slide laser engraved with "Pro Series".

Mine was converted to single shot.

FFL ordered the CA compliant SKU 109201, distributor sent them SKU 109301. instead of sending it back or ordering another one and having me wait longer, they did the single shot exemption (with my OK of course). took 5 minutes. if i'd have known how easy it was i probably would have had them order a 9L in the first place.

I've got an apex DCAEK sans trigger spring (debating to put the trigger spring or not), and RAM in it. trigger is incredible, i cannot believe how well the RAM works too.

As you can tell by all my pics, I don't take the best pics. As for the M&P, while holding it, I liked it. While shooting it, I could not get the proper grip. I guess I will just stick with my beloved Glocks......

Yep, while at the range I swapped out all three. The Medium size fit the best, but its my support hand that doesn't make the full purchase/contact that feels right for me.
And of course I don't care for the trigger or reset which I know can be fixed with a Apex trigger mod for another $80-$100.

If it doesn't point or grip right for you there isn't really anything on the market to fix that. no sense in forking over cash for trigger parts if it doesn't fit well in the hand.

Picked up my M&P9 pro yesterday and took it to the range today and shot 200 rounds flawlessly(umc, federal 115gr,wwb NATO and federal HST 147gr+p). Shoots just as good as my xdm if not better. The trigger is a little gritty, over time it will get better, but I'm sending it out to Apex and having a full makeover done to it. The xdm is getting a make over too from powder river precision as well. Other than that I am now on the market for a 1911!

Hey guys, sweet pictures! I love shooting my M&P, my friend's girlfriend also found it more comfortable and was much more accurate with it compared to his glocks. I need to get some pictures up though...

I am from MA and have a .40 Compact here. From seeing a couple things here, it seems they're not legal in CA? (I am moving in April)

While your .40C isn't on California's Roster of Approved Handguns Certified for Sale....it doesn't make it illegal to have in CA. We all just have to abide by the 10 round limit.

This should answer some of your questions regarding moving here with firearms:

From what they emailed me on options I have decided to that Its just going to get the apex level3 trigger job (2.5-3lb trigger pull),seat block housing upgrade, and the RAM. The xdm is going to get sent out first then the m&p, I can't just send it out without have some fun with it!

My Pro w/ DCAEK (minus trigger return spring) and sear engagement lever removed:

Will be joined by two compacts (wife wants one) and a threaded barrel kit. Oh, here's a pic of the Pro with the threaded barrel that came in today (lightened up on the post processing):

Thank you for that, I read the entire thing. But still, maybe I missed it... it is legal to own in California, but would I have to re-register it? I bought it from a store and did all the paperwork here in MA, and where I will be in CA will not be permanent. Thanks! And here are some shots of mine.. not very aesthetically pleasing, and somewhat blurry, but I wanted to do some high contrast sort of gritty looking photos

Finally got a chance to clean my 9Pro after about 1200+ rounds. Going to change out the sights in a few weeks though.

Wish we could have threaded barrels here.

I don't even care about sticking anything on the end of it.

One is for training/range (with Apex parts), the other one is for HD (everything stock). I dont like to mess with the internal parts especially on HD/CCW handgun.

1200 rounds no cleaning? nice! no stoppages at all, i trust?

what sights are you thinking about? i need to work on that too... gonna see how the Ameriglo I-dot Pros turn out on the Glock23 I have coming and maybe just unify around that setup if they are nice.

0 FTF or FTE. I hit the factory points with oil a few times, but that was it. I'm definitely happy it ran without a hitch!

I'm thinking about Dawson Precision fiber front/adjustable rear. This would be the link for the front site...but looks like Dawson's website is down right now.
http://www.dawsonprecision.com/Produ...A09-1240607676

Main reason I haven't pulled the trigger on the front/rear sights from Dawson yet is because Daniel @ Dawson was pretty unhelpful when he and I had some email correspondence last week. Only problem is that I haven't found sights from other places I like yet...

Picked up yesterday. Replaced sear housing block for one without mag disconnect and painted rear sights black. Went and shot between 150-200 rounds of factory reloads without a hitch.

Shot 7 rounds without mag in just because I can
