No, i'm referring to the little pulltabs on the velcro sections...
And my velcro door on the back panel is way narrower than most. (i.e. yours)
Also weird, no NSN or contract numbers.
In terms of bulkiness, i'm looking at some twaron/aramid dyneema soft armor inserts, only 7mm thick, and made right here in Holland!
I can spend some money on that, bought the ciras for only $115!!
Yea, my bblarp team do austrlian 2cdo/sasr impressions. Figured hey... if I'm shelling out on real gear and real armor... why not transition it to my real steel shooting and all that jazz.

Yea I'm 100% sure thats a commercial MarCiras, NSN's are only printed on tabs for government contracted equipment put two and two together right? Pretty cool regardless though. Post up the photos of your rig once you get it armored up. I'm curious to seeing how your thinner soft armor fits in the rig!

Here's my plate carrier/belt setup.

Plate carrier is nothing special, kept it simple, got my TQ on the front for quick access, got the multitool mounted for fixing hard malf's (SAW gunner habits die hard lol) IR flag for anyone who needs to see me with NODs, and carabeener for hooking stuff to me if I have to. Mags are single layered, so that I dont stick up like a fatty when I'm prone, and side plate pouches are kept on in case I feel like carrying another 10lbs for no reason haha I took out the shoulder buckles and reattached the shoulder straps with 550 cord on the inside bc I hate having more bulk on the shoulder, but that's about it on the plate carrier

The belt is an old BFG molle belt that I've had forever, just running eagle FB pouches and a TKN for the IFAK, plus an actual IFAK pouch for nods storage when they aren't on my head.

I picked up a plate carrier recently and I'm keeping it super simple. Grey Ghost Gear Minimalist Plate Carrier with three single AR mag tacos. I have a couple different taco pouches for pistol mags if if I want to run two AR mags and two pistol mags as well. I plan on using it for an upcoming class for the second half of the year.

It came with level 3 steel plates when I bought it from DSG Arms. It was on sale for $270 or something like that.

Here’s my set up.. still a work in progress

Front, rear, and side ar680 plates
Kevlar type IIIA soft armor underneath which also acts as a trauma pad
100oz shot hydration pack with camelback bite mouth piece
Double rifle mag and pistol mag pouches.

Still need a first aid kit, and a few other little gizmos that I haven’t figured out yet

You can still carry a lot of **** lol I would just line all the mags up across your rig and then put your pistol mags ontop so it's only 2 rows at least. It'll be much easier to go prone since you won't look pregnant with Ammo

Oh how times have changed.
I posted in here in 2014 with tiny internet pictures of not my own gear, with poverty level armor and no plates
To now owning a CPC with (albeit the wrong size) swimmers.

That looks fully concealable. Nice. Something to be said for appearing to be gray man. I love the LBE armor carriers that are super tacticool, as well. But good luck hiding them if a low profile was desired at times. I guess we should all have a setup like this one as an alternate to our multicam commando vests?

Dumb question but with all the variation of plate carriers is there a preferred plate(s) that most like to use?

That is like asking what everyone likes on their AR for optics.

This would be a good thread to start reading.

This is the most recent picture of my LBE setup. I've been trying out the Portuguese M64 pouches instead of the two Canadian ones up front (Portuguese ones are two single pouches on a panel with grommets for M1910 wire hangers at the bottom), so those are on right now instead, with the pistol mag pouch hanging from the M64 pouch on the left side. Still need an IFAK (the mag pouch on the butt pack is a stand-in for one). I also thought about sewing a single mag pouch to the canteen pouch like I've seen done in some pictures of soldiers in the field who'd modified their gear. Overall still a work in progress. The nice thing is that this setup cost me under $100.
