Default Sig P320 pre or post recall trigger.

Hi Everyone,

I’m not sure if this has been discussed here before, my apologies if it has been. Post the link here so I can read it please.

Here’s my question, I’m debating if I want my P320 updated with new trigger? Which one do you think is better in terms of shooting it?

Thanks!
Jay

Well if you want the gun to possibly shoot it's self if an accident happens I reccomend the original pre-mod trigger.

Having had both, I actually like the updated one better.

Sig used to send owners a 25% off coupons with the P320 upgrade. That itself was worth it.

Is there anything specific that you like or can describe that makes you prefer the updated one?

Thanks

Not that the original was bad or "unsafe" like the hype said, but the physical feel of the thinner trigger, smoother action.

My updated P320 with Gray Guns PELT 2 trigger breaks between 4.5 and 4.75lbs. I like it just fine.

GGARCIA

Is that a X-carry frame with a full length FDE slide in the gun at the very top? Thanks,

That's the P320 VTAC. That's how it is in it's original configuration, minus the trigger. But yes that's a Xcarry frame.

Ok, I’ll go ahead and send it for the upgrade.

Do I need to change it back to the stock trigger before I send it? Right now I have the flat trigger installed.

If you like to dry fire practice, then don't send it in for the upgrade, as the original design clicks with every trigger press.

If you think of carrying an original setup, install a X trigger, new trigger, or Apex lightweight trigger as IMO that will eliminate the 30-degree drop boom.

Best of both worlds is to have both!

I do like to dry fire practice which is the primary reason why I hesitate to have it upgraded. And currently I have the Apex flat trigger installed.

The thing is that the "click" you're hearing/feeling isn't the trigger releasing the sear...so you're not really learning the "feel" of the trigger releasing, which is one of the reasons to dry fire.

I sent my 320 Compact in for the upgrade as soon as it became available. My out-of-the-box trigger was both heavy and gritty. I had the trigger polished but it still felt over-sprung. After the upgrade the trigger was much lighter. I could feel some grit from the newly installed parts, but the release was cleaning...the grit seems to have gone away with dry fire practice.

Another advantage of the upgrade is that the new thinner/lighter trigger is based on the Adverse Trigger which prevents pinching between the frame and the trigger

I think i might send mine in eventually. If you have a caliber exchange kit or kit for a longer/shorter slide you have to send that in to.

I might be biased... But I would highly recommend to send your gun in for the upgrade. I really like the feel of the trigger post upgrade. It is a cleaner trigger. Not as spongy.

Either way. If you get an un-upgraded gun you can send it in.

My 320C is not upgraded and I don't have any issues with it.
