Default dont take a number at RG how to avoid long the long wait

The rifle gear employee in the Smith hat today had a good suggestion. If you do not want to wait in line just wait till they call numbers and when no one answers (as is the case about half the time) you just go up. " we do not care" were his exact words as he just helped who ever would walk up to him instead of calling numbers... fail

That said thanks to the guys that were working hard to cycle customers in and out. i like my new Ruger lower

Not really. He was basically explaining how to use the "Express Lane". I assume you were just in there to pick up parts, correct? If picking up parts or a transaction that doesn't require paperwork, we don't care about a number, just go up to the express lane and ask for help if no one is there. Now, if you are telling me he told you how to skip the line in order to purchase a Ruger lower, please clarify because that is NOT how we intend to do things at RifleGear. Every number we call must be verified by taking the number tag from the customer that walks up when "their number" is called.

I have run into this so often that I stopped buying from RG except in emergencies.

People who don't want to wait just saunter to the counter and are served while those with a number wait indefinitely.

Why have numbers, if anyone can go express without the employee having any way of determining who was there first?

How about an actual line or a separate set of numbers for the express line?

I call BS. I have been going there for years and never seen anyone just walk up and cut the line. I think what your seeing is their staff multi tasking and misreading whats going on.
