Default St. Joseph's Hospital - Stockton - LTC question (EDIT 11/29/16)

EDIT Tues 29 Nov 2016:

Any of you San Joaquin LTCers happen to know if there are "no guns" or similar signs posted at the hospital? My IA prohibits carry where there are such signs. I need to know ASAP, if you would be so kind. Thank you.

Any of you Stanislaus LTCers happen to know if there are "no guns" or similar signs posted at the hospital? Kaiser facilities seem to vary with this, and I am only familiar with the ones in Sac County. Thanks.

I used to work security there, and their policy is nobody but on duty law enforcement is allowed to carry. But afaik there are no signs, no metal detectors, nobody asks.
They will get upset if you carry in the emergency department. But they have a weapons lock box in the lobby of the ED.
So basically if you're the patient, I would advise against it. But if you aren't- concealed means concealed.
On a side note, I believe the MRI machine is outside so there isn't any real concern from that.

No signs means no current policy communicated to public, and it's the signs thing that my IA specifies as a condition. Not ED, and not a patient (visiting). Thanks!

ca has no "force of law" about posting or not posting.
so as long as not posted you are good to go.
but if asked to leave go now, or you can be charged with trespassing.

mind your print.

It's true that there isn't (yet) a PC section outlawing carrying in places posted by private entities. However, many IA's place a condition or restriction on their licenses that will result in the loss of the LTC if caught, and also leaves the door open, albeit in a vague manner, for possible prosecution for carrying in such places due to invalidation of the license under those conditions specified.

No guns signs don't carry the weight of law.

I'm very aware of that. As I stated, my IA places a condition in the license prohibiting it. Revocation of the license as well as, yes, possible prosecution (see previous discussions of the topic in the Concealed Carry thread) can result.

I'm also aware that concealed means concealed; just getting that in before someone else says it;-). I'm just after the one bit of info--signs, yea or nay?

I would, but logistics prevent it. Coming from a distance, no opportunity to make the trip twice.
