Default Steel challenge rimfire question

Currently have a Ruger 10/22 in a Magpul stock, set up with a Green Mountain Bull barrel and vortex venom red dot. Just discovered the steel challenge up in Piru. Any recommendations for a new bull barrel to use for the match. Current barrel is a touch over 3 pounds, and lighter is better, right?
Thanks for the tips.

Most competitors use either a tactical solutions ultralight barrel or a Volquartsen ultralight barrel.

It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!

What exactly is this? I'm close to Prado and like shooting steel with my 10/22. I've only shot steel at Angeles though.
