Default Getting my m1895 nagant revolver working again...

^look just ahead of the screw for the trigger guard. It looks ground down, and filled with some kind of amalgam.

Picked the bottom one up for $99, I couldn't pass it up, and I'd been wanting a wall hanger.

But after seeing the bore, which looks brand new, I now HAVE to shoot it.

Finish appears original to me. 1939... no import marks.

Single action.

It has the following issues I've discovered:
  • Missing loading gate spring
  • Bent/worn mainspring with broken tab
  • Hand does not spring forward (Missing spring?)
  • Hand catches on frame
  • Non matching cylinder

The problem is mainsprings seem to be made out of unobtanium. Should I try bending this one?
And I can't find reference to a spring for the hand.
I can probably polish the hand up a bit to get it to stop sticking.

Yeah it turns out a tab on the main spring snapped off and that's what's supposed to operate the hand
