So when I win what do I get?

EDIT: Nevermind, it pays to read... LOL

I have to say Jacob, you just lost your little competition to Chad, you sure seem to be in a hurry to get beat again!

Ok, seriously though, any time limit on the course of fire or are we going to stand there all night for each shot? I suggest a 20 second time limit. Starting with loaded rifles at low ready. And we shoot our course of fire first without any warm up or practice time

Standard stage 1 target is 2 minutes, 10 rounds, standing

Oh and just for a little fun :-)
Here is my target at 25 yards standing, 10 rounds.

Dont worry, I will cut you some slack, I promise

You got this Sean. And I agree 2 minutes is too long, let's make it interesting, rapid fire with a mag change like all our monthly comps are..

2 minute standing is standard for the AQT (Army Qualifying Target which is used by Army and Marines).
The target itself is the first stage of the AQT.

Sean if you are feeling like this is easy then we can always change up and shoot a whole AQT.
There are 4 stages: Since it would be the whole AQT, we can just go a flat 4 minutes and 40 rounds with (2) 10 round mags (no high caps, it removes part of the challenge and skill). Normally this is shot at 25 meters but we will adjust for limited indoor range.

1st stage is standing (2 min) – 1 target

2nd stage starts standing and moves to sitting/kneeling (55 Sec) – 2 targets and 1 mag change (no high caps – (2) 10 round mags)

3rd stage starts standing and moves to prone (65 Sec) – 3 targets and 1 mag change (no high caps – (2) 10 round mags)

4th stage is all prone (5 min) – 4 targets

Best score wins :-) Your choice Sean, I am happy to oblige.

I also see many think this is easy, :-) I will be more than happy to compete against many IE shooters, using a full AQT with a flat 4 minutes and 40 rounds with (2) 10 round mags (no high caps, it removes part of the challenge and skill) (Current Appleseed Rifleman not included).
If I win, the loser sign ups and pays to attend an Appleseed (Corona or Azusa), for those that win, at the next IE shoot I will bring you a dinner from King Taco or host a range shoot at Burro and pay your range fee and provide King Taco.

I am open to any takers, other than current Appleseed Rifleman patch holders. Who is up for it?

Easy vs also competing against the clock, two different things.

What is the course of fire for the the full AQT?

You mentioned that we were just shooting the first part of the AQT and then offered the full AQT as an option, I was wondering what the difference was. Not familar with it at all.

Just saw your edited post. Makes more sense now. Since we can't go prone or kneeling at RMR we'll just stick with the standing postion.

Win or lose I've been wanting to go to an Appleseed for awhile so this just reminds me to get it done

Oh and win or lose, I have my own challange for you, but that will require a range at Burro to setup and do.

Bring it on :-)

Everyone, keep in mind this is good, clean competition meant for fun. So if you just want to give it a whirl come on out and I can walk you through the course of fire.

Exactly! All of the back and forth stuff here is just good natured having fun! In fact, I might just make this compeition the main competition for the monthly shoot Might as well give the people with rimfire rifles a chance to have some fun instead of just doing pistol stuff.

I hope to make it, but based on my past record of attending only 1, we shall see.

I won't pick a winner since I know both, but I sure hope I can make it to watch the shootout between them.

Cool Can't let Sean go in alone...

I'll throw my hat in. Since we are talking appleseed I should be fine using a 10/22 with a sling? Can I use my standard mags loaded to 10 rounds?
