Default homemade black powder measures.

One of the most authentic 1800's style BP measure is a cartridge case soldered to a brass or copper wire. The wire doubled and twisted to form a loop on the end to go around the bottom of case neck.

Comparing water weights (1st link) to the black powder chart (2nd link) shows that the water chart is close to black powder weight correct. And so the large chart makes a great starting point before filing/grinding the neck down to make it measure spot on.
