Time for some trainers
Trainer rifles, that is. Show me what you have!
Top to bottom: Mossberg 44US (US Property marked) Mossberg 151MB Mossberg 42M(b) Top to bottom: Romanian M69 Remington 541T Ross model 12 H&R 165 My favorite shooter of the bunch is the Romanian M69 - it just feels so good to shoot, balances so well and has good practical sights. The rarest is definitely the Ross Model 1912. You just don't see those too often and I was lucky to snag the one I did. Very interesting action as well.....don't know if I will shoot that one. Another interesting one is the H&R 165. It is a follow-up model to a nearly identical rifle used to train Marine recruits during WWII. Only a few of these were actually adopted by any military power, but they were all built with a purpose - to train somebody to shoot. I have many, many more that I am searching for, this is a whole rabbit hole of collecting in and of itself. I hope you enjoyed the pics - the lighting was reasonable today for cellphone pictures. Anybody else have any trainers to add to the thread? |
