There's a model, LE 5806 I think, that is the Tactical model with no flash suppressor. That could be the way.

That specific model, again unsure of the exact model number, that doesn't need a bullet button; as for the shop that will ship it, I don't know and you'll have to call around.

I believe that is the normal 18.5"bbl that is in the synthetic/blued configuration. The poster above me is looking for the tactical 16" configuration. .

He's correct that is a 16" barrelled stainless Mini-14 Patrol rifle. It is normally a LE only item in Ruger's LE catalog. Basically a stainless Tactical without a flash hider and normal barrel profile.

I tried seeing if one of the LGS would order one but alas I ended up with a standard 18.5" blued model (though nothing wrong with that). None of the shops wanted to deal with it being for LE and the fact it normally comes with a 20 round mag standard.

My bad. Reading fail.

Atekhed: See if they can break down the 20rd mag into a rebuild kit.

Default There are many like her, but this one is mine

Contemplated selling. Shot it and reminded me to keep her.

I hope you all enjoy and that I am worthy enough of all the previous impressive collection of Minis on here.

Default 581 series

Mini with Leupold VX Hog Rifle Scope 1-4x 20mm in low mounts. Just barely fits over the irons but the cheek weld is proper and fast. Carlson Mini-Comp on the front.

I just installed the Ruger Scope Rings, a new Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40mm Scope, and the Harris Bi-pod Adapter. Awaiting my bi-pod to ship.

Can't wait to try this out soon. =)

My new little project

Here it is soon after I got it. I had been collecting parts to set it up for a little while. Finally pulled the trigger on an older one, but I had plans for it ...

And now with the hogue stock

I have a little leatherwood hi-lux 2-7x scout scope and some quick detach lo mounts for this little guy.
I think the rifle may do better with that setup.
However, I may just go for both and try to run the little red dot on a 45 degree up forward, it only weighs a couple of ounces ...Just a little concerned about the little lo-key rifle losing it's lo-key status.
I do like red dots tho. They acquire so quickly, so I imagine I will give it a try ...

All are 10-round versions. There are four Ruger factory mags mostly from CDNN and four cheaper John Masen mags from Midway.

Mini-14 I've owned for a long time recently had it reworked by Gun Dochttp://greatwestgunsmithing.com/mini14.htm. Barrel shortened to 16 inches and threaded. Stock bedded and trigger lightened. Handles like a SBR!
