Congrats. At least you hopefully will be getting one of your guns back soon. Hopefully they can find the other suspect in the video.

I blame our school system, don't they teach kids anything these days???
That gun should've been swapped for a gun stolen in FL or TX. Don't all these gangs have "krewz" in diff cities?(according to TV) Are the cops "sweating" him to give up his "homiez"? This is as disappointing as the time my CD/radio got stolen out of my old Toyota..... 1)they blew out a window(all you gotta do is smack lock good with hammer and it falls inside the door and door unlocks) 2)for reasons unknown, and with incredible force, they pulled the dash half out (the deck wasn't even 'mounted' and slide out w/out tools, just be pulling) |

I got them to pay us another 850$ for incorrect values. The rest of the items such as the handguns and DROS fee need a receipt which im in the process of doing.

It really depends on his history of arrests. Most likely, and unfortunately he'll either get minimal jail time and bail out or get supervised probation, which he's probably been on before.

I'd suggest that since he will most likely get kicked...?
You know who he is. You could spend a little of that insurance money and take the boy to lunch. You know, ask him about his buddies, and explain to him how disappointed you are w/ his current career path, breakin' into your place and rippin' you off and all... ...and then, when he regains consciousness, if he still doesn't understand it? Explain it to him again. My $0.02. |

More likely it's because the jails are bursting at the seams and California is under a court order to reduce overcrowding.

yeah..its a non violent crime until they find someone at home..or a young woman or girl alone at home..then it tends to get very ugly...maybe its time we start chopping hands and feet off each time...

Well, let's hope he's snitched on his pals to get his 16 months in jail or two to three years in prison reduced.

The ones that hit OP's house are organized and spent time casing and learning schedules, IMHO if they catch 1 of 4 guys they should give him a sentence that equals all 4 if he chooses not to give names. So for example 4 guys commit burglary together, and they only catch one guy, if burglary was 2 years in jail, he can either give up the names of others and serve his 2 years, or be hard *** and do 8 years. His choice. Glad they caught one though, best of luck to you on the others. |

I have a solution to that problem. Put all the non-violent inmates in a rock quarry and make them work off their debt to society. Its called prison for a reason. They shouldn't just get a stay at Club-Pen. They should work it off.

If the judge decides to nail them for burglary, they might get 9 months in a county probation camp. 20 years? Never gonna happen. That is not how the system works. It rewards teen crime with leniency out of a mistaken belief that leniency promotes some sort of affection for the legal system. I've seen teens literally get away with not only attempted murder but even murder. Dude is lucky he got one pistol back. I would invest in some barrier technology so as to prevent another penetration of his domicile. Now that the perps know the victim is a gun owner, so do their Homies. Guess what happens next. Another crew shows up to find his new guns. And so it goes . . . . . . until Det. Ludlow catches up with them . . . Heh. Heh.

Glad they got one of them!
My house got broken into about 5 years ago when we were all gone. They went in through the kids bedroom window sometime before 11am. After ransacking their room and stealing all their change, they "tried" to go to the other rooms in the house. Luckily we had a 9 year old Rottweiler (RIP) who was waiting outside the kids room for whomever to come out of there. They didn't make it any further, and went right back out the window. Good ol' girl scared him away. Long story short they caught him a few months later and had his fingerprints associated with almost a dozen other homes. He made a deal for 8 years. I went out and bought a CCTV system after that and have had it ever since. |

I still havent gotten my M&P back yet. RIA 1911 tac still stolen.
I have purchased a replacement RIA 1911 tac. Other than that no news. I just emailed both PDs about the case havent heard back yet. Another home was hit this morning except home owner scared robbers away with bat according to a neighbor who heard on the police scanner. if you havent yet, get a alarm dog etc store your stuff well secured. crimes still happening in the area.

High up on a shelf in an odd closet (hall closets are best, rarely ever would a thief look in one). Or best yet, hidden in the attic! Most home security DVR's now have a couple excellent features. 1: Ethernet capable. - This gives you 2 things. Access on PC or from a Smart Phone. While home OR away. 2: Video Out (some have multiple). In my house, I have one that runs to the TV in my bedroom, and one to the living room TV. I can access my video feed, from anywhere I have net access. Call me a tinfoil hat type. But All of my PC's are run "Server Closet" style. All PC's have battery backup, as does my DVR and the router it is on, and cable modem. Even in most cases of a power outage, I have access to my video feed, for up to 1 hour. (Also, I leave 1 night light on at ALL times in my house, which is seen in a camera feed. Yep, redneck power outage indicator!)

Yeah, the M&P. He hasn't gotten it back yet. You think the police just take it out of the hands of the criminal and hand it back to the rightful owner? No no no. It can take many months or even years to get a gun back, even if it wasn't used in a crime while the criminal had it. You may have to constantly pester, threaten to sue, etc, the agency that has your gun in order to get it back at all.
