Default Voting demographics - still any point to voting?

My comment relies on the data posted on this site in regard to current and trending voter demographics. The data also meshes with current articles not only about CA but around the country, as well.
http://www.ppic.org/publication/cali...likely-voters/

According to the data, there is no scenario in which 100% GOP voter turnout would turn around anything because there simply are not enough of them left in the state. Data says the Dem numbers are increasing, the Rep numbers are decreasing into what is not clear minority status, and IND numbers are increasing, which are likely Dem voters.

- Geographically, there are GOP pockets around the state but these affect minor elections.
- Automatic registration of 18 year olds is turning out to lean heavily Dem.
- Conservative voters in my city, as an example, are aged and lessening.
- Conservative voters who threatened to leave the state actually did.

I wont add more bullet points because they become increasingly gloomy. The coming campaigning is heavily leaning on the youngest possible voters because they are, at the very least, the most likely anti-gunners. David Hogg has teamed up with Obama now for gun grabbing, using youth as the vehicle.

Throwing your voice out there now as law abiding Constitutionalists is becoming laughable and nobody is listening.

Is it just straight better now to work on getting guns out of the state? **IF** Newsom is Gov, and **IF** he bypasses the Legislature to ban guns or ammo in his first week by executive order, there might be no place to even take the guns. Since Brown is bypassing Trump and Sessions on all of Brown's recent measures, surely it cant bode well for minority gun owners whose supposed rights are far easier to take.

1. It was said about Trump that he would be the best president to oversee the bankruptcy of the United States. Does it also figure that Calguns will be the best place from which to view the final burning of the Constitution?

2. Is it better to drop lawsuits, and even give up voting, and instead focus on fighting to achieve minority rights both as conservatives and gun owners and let the Supreme Court decide? Before you laugh too hard, consider that gun owners are actively discriminated against now--in the state, in facebook, in Youtube, by Citibank, by Obamacare and health insurance in general, by Social Security, towards vets, by the media, by Starbucks, by members of Congress and Senate. Is there a basis for a claim of discrimination and that conservatives and gun owners and Constitutionalists are no longer fairly represented in the CA legislature and elsewhere? We are actively being denied our rights like gun confiscation now in Deerfield, IL and so how isnt that discrimination? A fellow tried to make this point at his city hall last week. A lot of you have already heard of Mark Robinson who is saying the law-abiding majority have become the minority to be squashed and nobody is protecting them.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dZn0D_9VY8
3. They are grabbing guns in IL now. Do such actions mean all bets are off, niceties are over? How long will it be before CA follows? Maybe a week? Two? Whats the gun community's response then?

In all this, then, what does voting mean when rights are being openly trampled and its opposition is a clear minority? Voting would accomplish what, exactly?

1) Yes, keep voting in every election, local, State, Fed.

2) Will it have any effect (Statewide). Probably not until California collapses under its own ponderous bureaucratic weight. Can it happen? Absolutely. Productive people and businesses are leaving CA everyday; illegals-from every third world shiite hole are flooding into this state everyday welcomed by the insane apoplectic spittle flying leftists who run CA.

Voting has become therapy for me. That's all I'll ever get out of it. I do cast a ballot every election but more and more choices are being left blank. It's my "none of the above are acceptable" vote.

John Cox recently moved into second place for governor. I think he may have a shot. Gavin Newsome is so far left I think it turns people off.

Sadly most people don't care about gun laws. But many are fed up with the huge homeless problem we have, outrageous cost of living, illegal alien invasion, sanctuary cities, lawlessness and gas taxes. All brought to you by the progressive left.

I'm hoping, have my fingers crossed, enough people (both Dem and Rep) are finally fed up with it and express that at the polls by voting for John Cox.

The left causes homelessness? Exactly WHICH liberal programs CAUSE homelessness? Perhaps if you mean decriminalizing drug possession etc. you can argue that these people would all be in JAIL and not cluttering up our streets, but that isn't really causing homelessness. Mental illness and drug abuse CAUSE homelessness, and I seriously doubt anyone checks to see which party is in power before they lose their mind and/or start using drugs.

It is important that everyone vote. also raise havoc if they try to stop you from wearing what the left calls a political tee-shirt. Theirs always seem fine but ours are not. I wear a "do not tread on me" tank top and if they do not like it maybe we can get the 1st amendment involved. i once had a cop tell me the shirt implied a threat and i asked him if he wanted to go on camera and record requiring me to take it off denying me my first amendment right and he backed off. some liberal called it in and i was in a parking lot after shopping. we cannot surrender the state and betray our neighboring states. PLEASE Vote this year.

If you are in Los Angeles County, your vote absolutely does count... for sheriff. This is a competitive race and if our guy (Bob Lindsey) wins, 10 million Californians will get their right to bear arms.

I agree, most of the other races are non-competitive, due to demographic factors.

But sheriff matters and it is competitive.

Textbook definition "liberals" need to stop voting along the democrat party line which has become leftist/statist.

True liberals are accepting of everyone and don't want the govt involved in their lives. Educate them to stop voting democrat if they want to see freedom restored.

Their are 2 republicans running for governor that are very close to making it on the ballot. The answer is YES! You may think it doesn’t help to vote, but Trump got in despite so many news outlets reporting Shillary would win. Without the votes for Trump, we would have all been doomed! Get out and vote and encourage others to.

I was raised in a household that complained about their vote not being counted. It’s time to put it to rest! VOTE VOTE VOTE! If you don’t vote, you’re part of the problem and giving the dems free votes.

If all you care about is gun rights, then NO. CA is well past the point of returning to gun rights. But there are many other things to care about.

I'm not so convinced of the dichotomy (trichotomy?). I registered republican to vote in the primary for Trump in 2016. After the election, I once again gave the GOP the finger and sent in my registration for the Libertarian party. I fall into the "Independent" category and vote strictly along constitutional lines. I think the dichotomy is more accurately leftist vs non-leftist.... although the frightening truth may be that a significantly rising proportion of the "independent" vote is socialist...... Thank-you, elitist colleges

Yeah, I think it still matters, but it depends on the issue or candidate. Bob Lindsey is a good example. And yes, I favor Calexit because it will make the rest of the country actually have a chance in Presidential elections (55 fewer Dem electoral delegates). That would be yuge.
