Questions about registration?

Hello all,

New to the forum, as a typical newbie i have a question.

I sent in all my documentation to the DOJ to register my firearms, since i am a new resident.

I have been waiting for a while now for the DOJ to send me back some sort of confirmation, but i have read that it can take up to a year for me to get that documentation from them.

Cost of living here in California is very high and i am considering selling some of my firearms.

Question;

Do i have to wait to get a notice back from the DOJ before i can sell any?

I have my CA ID now.

I am trying my best to comply with state/federal law's, reason for me seeking guidance from you all.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
