The rifle was fired from a bench with a sandbag supporting the fore end. Wind was left to right (guessing 5 to 7 mph). Target squares are 1" x 1" so the spread is about 1.5 MOA vertically and 2 MOA horizontally. Considering this was done with cheap, bulk ammo, I'm happy with results.
That is pretty impressive for Thunderbolt. IME its super-soft lead marks easily and leads to a very painful transonic transition, but obviously for you it was still more than good enough to put food on the table.

Try it with some Wolf MT sometime. Rimfire at range is great fun.

It's true that Remington TB ammo doesn't exactly have a good reputation which was exactly why I chose it for this little experiment. It certainly gave me confidence in the innate accuracy of the CZ 455 Trainer.

FWIW, I've had dud free performance with about 1,000 rounds TB spread across several rifles in addition to the CZ 455 (60 year old single shot, bolt action Remington Model 514, semi-auto Ruger 10/22 Takedown, and lever action Henry H001). Maybe I've just been lucky but the stuff has worked for me.
