Understandable I just don't like being rushed for time. I still need to volreg after......I wanted to buy a few more kits but without knowing for sure I'd receive the jig on time I'm hesitant to purchase more

Jeez thats later than I anticipated. I hope you can get the ball rolling on that 2nd shop.

Good luck to the guys waiting on the community jig that want to VolReg their personalized serial numbers.

OP, any idea on the date on when F&F placed their order with JSD for the community jigs?

you can volreg without a completed fcu....from what I have gathered, you do not need to submit pictures either. there have been guys getting approved without pictures. just make sure when you reg, you mark it as single shot.

if we can register a serialized/engraved incomplete 80% firearm, then why is the Jig being tied to the July 1st deadline?

http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/forms/pdf/volreg.pdf
is this the correct form?

so we just need to:

1. complete the 1 page form
2. sign and date the declaration
3. make check payable to DOJ in the amount of $19.00
4. mail the form and check to: DOJ in Sacramento, CA

once approved, you will receive a confirmation notice of your Firearm Ownership Record.

Is that $19 per fire arm? Crap if it is.

Both good questions. If you use the barrel length of the inlander arms kit, I assume you have to select single shot. If you use the sig barrel length, I assume you should select semi-auto. So...whats the general consensus on registering pre or post conversion to semi auto?

There are instructions on the second page.
What I would write:

Make: Whatever name you had engraved.
Model: Whatever name you want to give it.
Origin: U.S.A.

http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...0%25+ar+pistol

This thread is for legally registering your AR Pistols but it is the same concept for registering your self made firearms.

Volreg is a term used by people on the forums. The form you want to submit will be the Firearm Ownership Report.

We've had customers register more than one way successfully.

Single Shot 9 inches in 25ACP is the most common way

Then there's Single Shot with interchangable barrel (multi cal)

We have had customers register semi auto with pictures showing it originated single shot. We don't advise customers to do this because DOJ doesn't make legal determinations and your local DA might have a different opinion on the legality.

Got my X5 in today, but didn't receive a 80% frame. Is it supposed to ship separately?

Got mine today. Very happy with my purchase. The X5 is a sweet pistol. Makes me hate the HG Roster even more! lol

Thank you Chris for supplying the parts and thank you nubrun for setting this group buy up! It was a total impulse purchase for me, but Im glad I did now.

i bought one and will make it available, but i ordered a few weeks after the group buy ended.

there has been zero word on the status of the roaming jigs, which is extremely disappointing considering they should have been some of the first ordered many people purchased kits based on that incentive.

Thereís been no word, because there has been no word. I know Chris is pushing JSD to get some jigs early, but no confirmation yet. As mentioned above, the jig delay was unexpected and disappointing.

I donít think thatís necessarily correct. I have been seeing people in the Facebook groups posting about shipping notices for the last week. I definitely donít think there are a lot in the wild, but I think they are making their way, albeit SLOOWWWLLLYYYYY.

I was just happy to see them moving somewhere... lol I'm hoping Chris can work magic because Calguns is likely towards the end of the shipping schedule posted.

It's a shame that F & F didn't move production to a high volume shop.

??? You mean JSD Supply? They're the ones making the inserts and the jig. F&F is just a retailer.

I'll be engraving next week so that I can register as soon as I get the jig. Has anyone confirmed that we can just use the position after locking the insert into the most rearward position within the frame?

Thanks for the correction, I meant JSD but F & F was on my mind due to the G43 group purchase update I had just read.

I'm working on getting the jigs as quick as i can... these are new kits so there is always obstacles. On the other hand I have accumulated so nice exchange kits(full kit minus trigger parts) in carry 9 size, carry 357, and some other misc ones. Same deal, all parts, case and mags I will blow out to this group first before I retail on the website. 399 each. First come first serve. These are great, for example if you bought a compact you can take your FCU out of your existing kit and swap into the exchange kit and have another complete firearms
