Thanks, which build has Specto or Exodus pre-installed...?
I can check for myself but it might take me some time...unless you know offhand. thanks Edit; Just found one, Durex Builds, thanks... all the 'builds' are bloated with a ton of stuff I never use... I wish I could just load Specto Fork/Exodus.... simple movies & TV. Last edited by moond0ggie; 08-04-2017 at 8:51 PM.. |

I've noticed that Exodus has been declining over the last few months. Not as many 1080 feeds, some movies/shows have zero feeds at all of any quality, the search function stopped working for a while.
From what I've read, lawsuits are starting to get thrown around and sites are being shut down. I kinda think the days of kodi as we've known it may be coming to an end.

Well, it seems so for some of the bigger names, they're not available thru the standard links anymore.
I just installed the Durex Build (thanks Steve) & have Specto Fork & Exodus back on my 8" android tablet. https://kodiapps.com/how-to-install-...odi-17-krypton Its a little bit heavy with the extra graphics & such but I'm glad to have my small player back... A tablet is perfect for night time to fall asleep to .....not too bright & not too loud... its propped up on my dresser with some tee shirts...perfect viewing angle. ps my favorite programs to fall asleep to are Columbo & Ancient Aliens....haha Last edited by moond0ggie; 08-05-2017 at 9:45 PM.. |

^^^thanks, Title fixed
Yes it is, its a media player that you install on a streaming device. A few years ago I was using an XBOX I have KODI on a Fire Stick, an 8" android tablet, on my S5 & on a Win 7 PC I'm using a Fire Stick right now but will get a Fire TV box soon or read up & maybe get something better. Anyone using a really nice HDMI streaming player thats better than a Fire TV box? Last edited by moond0ggie; 08-05-2017 at 9:40 PM.. |

install titanium. then go into supreme builds and install Mobdro and Terrarium. look at the "supreme builds/ "subject".......on u tube. this is a very well supported and smooth setup that is updated almost daily with the current fixes for outside problems. if you have not tried it......i strongly suggest you try Mobdro.....it is free, and once installed, you view it like amazon prime or netflix. you do not have to launch titanium. (mobdro outside of titanium is way nicer)

Thanks for the tips, I'll have to check out Mobdro, I just did the Durex Build on my Tablet & it works OK,
I'll try some of those others on my Fire Stick. The Kodi part works perfect, I am having buffering issues using Specto Fork, on TV & Movies. I have Charter Broadband, & wireless to the Fire Stick , I even did a buffering modd several months ago to the Video settings that was on YouTube....not sure if that helped... I just checked the Fire stick vs. Fire TV box $40. Stick/ Media Tech, quad core..1.3ghz , 1gb RAM , 8gb ROM $89. Box/ Qualcomm, quad core.. 1.7ghz , 2gb RAM , 8gb ROM I'll get a Fire TV Box for the better specs, it should work a lot better. Last edited by moond0ggie; 08-07-2017 at 11:35 PM.. |

the problem with the firestick......is that you are stuck with a wireless connection. always make your connection by cable. for the money, firetv is doing a great job compared to the other boxes. top dog.......hands down......Nvidia Shield !!

Kodi 17.3 w/Covenant works well on the DroidBox.
The old Kodi vers w/SALTS and Exodus, not so much. Now to find a way to get SALTS on it... The proc. on the Firestick sucked, and so did response times.

That sucks that Exodus is going down the crapper. I don't like when I have to jump through a bunch of hoops to do things.
I'll check out Mobdro this weekend. When I first started having issues with Exodus, I read that Genesis Reborn was the way to go. Tried that and it's the same as Exodus. Searches didn't always work, lots of buffering on non 1080 feeds and the amount of feeds was shrinking.

Thanks nine mil for the info about Titanium, that Nvidia Shield looks like top of the mark, I bet the specs on it are probably the best also.
I always find a better deal/item on Amazon after I place an order.... I cancelled the OTT Box & purchased this one for less & better specs.... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 $78. ,64 bit 2Ghz, 3Gb of DDR4 RAM, 32Gb of ROM ESHOWEE M8S PRO Android 7.1 TV Box Amlogic S912 DDR4 3GB 32GB BT4.1 2.4/5 Dual-Band WiFi 4K UHD ......$78. I just found this, Dated August 2017...
https://www.bestdroidplayer.co.uk/xb...ndroid-tv-box/ Theres some good info in it, heres their picks, 13 Best Kodi Addons 2017 Addon Repository – SuperRepo & SmashRepo Elysium Covenant Halow Live TV Cartoons8 VPN Manager Salts UK Turk Playlists SportsDevil MP3 Streams iPlayer WWW Plex Emby Heres another http://www.wirelesshack.org/top-best...o-add-ons.html and this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTxQdlXzHbw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esyQs1m9wts Some are saying Covenant is the Exodus replacement..... It looks like I got luck by selecting the Durex Build, it was one of the choices in the link that Steve posted.. https://kodiapps.com/how-to-install-...odi-17-krypton It has, Exodus, Salts, Covenant, Elysium, Specto-Fork, Duckpool, Streamhub It seems like it covers the best addons to date, enough for me anyways. Edit; Titanium is pretty heavy with music, sports, espanol & other bloat, theres probably 50 addons installed. It would probably satisfy a big family with all the choices. Are Exodus and Phoenix still solid for current movies? I haven't played with addons lately and have only been using Kodi to play my media (imagine that?).

As i understand it Exodus devs dropped it, and it was picked up under the new name by others...

I don't know anything about that. I know Exodus is the new name for what used to be something else. Runs extremely smooth compared to a lot of others. Like I said I'm using it right now watching a movie that just came out so it's being updated.
I think some people are having problems because they're not running a new build. I was having problems about 2 months ago so I can please the 17.3 Kodi build and installed brand-new Aries builds and its running extremely smooth everything seems to work Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

Anybody have a link to a beginners guide.....we have been succesfully using Kodi on a Fire box....well we bought a new Sony Bravia and surprise it has kodi preloaded.....I was pretty surprised....wondering if I can expand it's functionality easily and move the Firebox to our bedroom......
We'll watch a movie once a month or so......popcorn, beers, good times, so kodi has been greatly appreciated.... |

it can be done easily....BUT, the smart TV does not have the processor speed and the ram to rum a build without buffering and freezing problems. first you have to make sure you have the 17.3 kodi build. then you would have to install a small lite build. before you put any high hopes on success, in the back of your mind, be prepared for a little bit of a let down. snoop around you tube for additional info. i was, going to do the same thing.....but an inexpensive fire tv box is so much headache free. for help on loading builds, look up "supreme builds" videos on you tube. i am a forum member, and the how to videos there are great.
