Default HOG HUNTING near Santa Cruz

Hey there errbody! I've got an itch to hunt hog that I 've got to scratch. Ive been doing quite a bit of research on it but I want to get out in the field without paying $1000 for one hog on a guided hunt. I don't mind paying but i wanted to see if anybody had a line on hunting someones private land . Or even public land . Although I've heard theres not a whole lotta wild pigs there. I'd even be stoked if someone let me tag along on there next hunt or even better take me under there wing to help me become a hog master lol

Anyway all advice , thoughts , contacts etc. would be much appreciated .
Thanks

sadly for most folks but private land is the best bet for hogs in california. permission is hard to get unless you have an in thru family or friends etc.

We had some hogs years ago, but now we've got so many mountain lions that the hogs are gone. Good thing - those things are worse than deer when it comes to tearing up gardens and lawns. I've always wanted to bag one on my property, but no dice.
